Inn Of New Iberia - Motel in New Iberia - 924 E Admiral Doyle Dr, USA

This place allows pets EXCEPT when you go to the front desk check in - there's a big sign that says " NO PITBULLS ALLOWED due to insurance" We have a pit bull mix neutered male that we rescued from the Wichita Humane Society. I was treated like hell everyday from housekeeping, front desk, other guests, ect even though we paid the dog deposit and were given approval to stay for a week. Which is $356.00 approximately plus dog deposit! Housekeeping is VERY rude and very afraid of all dogs and avoids giving you any service if you have one. Had to ask front desk for toilet paper every other day and our room lock would not work so every day when we would leave, we would have to ask someone at the front desk to come and open our room. Recommend this place only if it's the last option available.

Very nice size rooms and very clean. The top rooms are very spacious and they have just been updated. Loved the front desk clerks they were very professional and courteous. Small mom and pop hotel but very reasonable prices and right near alot of food places!! Only possible downside its smoking and non smoking, which brings the wrong crowd occassionally. Staff was great!

Glad to see the hotel is under new management. The previous girl who was running the place was rude and arrogant. Not nearly as polite and helpful as the new manager. Mr. Howard is very cordial and considerate. The lady during the day, Miss Shelly, always has a smile and is willing to do what she can to help. We had a slight problem with our room when we checked in, and immediately she addressed the problem and we were in our room in no time. Not the newest or the nicest hotel, but definitely very friendly. Great place to stay if you are a budget traveler. The hotel is close to shopping and places to eat also. Not so far out as the other places. We will continue to stay here as it seems to be getting better now that the previous manager is gone.

The prices have gone up to 60-65 a night, tax included. That is still one othe best prices in town..||||They have been remodling, I could see it was not quite complete by the finishing touches on the the walls. This is for the budget traveler, not for someone used to first class.||||The room was clean and comfortable. Air conditioner worked. The mini fridge worked too, From experince and word of mouth, not all hotels have a fridge/freezer, nice touch.||||I stayed a night at the Cajun inn too, clean room-weird shower. But there was a lot of noise, people, and trafiic there. And a big car accident arugment. ||At the New Iberia in it was nice and quiet. It was off season, so the pool was closed, but the lawn "love swings" were very relaxing. It ws also pleasent to be greeted on leaving in the morning by the cooing birds in the trees.||||stayed 03/10/09 JLJ

We stayed 3 nights and our nonsmoking room was clean! The beds were comfy and the price was right, at only $65 per night for a double! It's not perfect, however, the bathtub needed repair, as it was starting to rust through at the bottom and the tile walkway under the archway in front of our room was very slippery after a rain...it caused me to slip and fall one morning.

Ok for the price. Rooms are seriously outdated but pretty clean. Out of luck if you need a wake up call since the rooms have absolutely no phones installed. Other than that, it's fine for a short stay.

I love the rooms their really nice. It's $50 for a single, $55 for a double. The single has a king size bed and the double has two full size beds. They have a tub with a shower, also has free WiFi.
