Inn at Twaalfskill - Bed & breakfast in Highland - 144 Vineyard Ave, USA

This inn is outstanding! Had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Inn at Twaalfskill and loved every minute of it. It's clear the owners have taken loving care of this historic home and have turned it into a truly awesome B&B. ||Nancy and Eric the owners are a delight and went out of their way to make sure every detail was just right. Breakfasts are off the chart! Fresh made breads and muffins and along with a full breakfast. I don't think I've ever stayed at a cleaner B&B! It's immaculate! We stayed in Room 1 which was perfect. Beautiful en-suite bath with jetted tub and a huge walk in shower. ||It's very convenient and the grounds are lovely with lots of flowering trees. Highly recommend!

I really research my travel so it's unusual for a place to exceed my expectations, but this one did! The house is luxurious, immaculate, and homey, all at once. Every reviewer talks about the breakfasts but they really are wonderful. You sign up for a time and walk in to find your table set up with a pot of coffee, a carafe of orange juice, and a different baked treat every day, each better than the last. And if you can't finish that, you'll find the rest of it wrapped in cellophane and ready to take with you next time you walk through. The grounds are lovely and the short walk to the rail trail and walkway over the Hudson are a fantastic bonus. And as others have said, Nancy is a gracious host -- knowledgable, friendly, and just available enough without ever hovering. The relative we were there to visit is going to move away from the Hudson Valley soon but we'll have to find another reason to return.

Such a lovely bed and breakfast! Stayed with a group of friends and we are already talking about going back. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable, but what made our stay were all the thoughtful touches, like a coffee and tea bar available all day, and a delicious full breakfast. Nancy was a wonderful host and we would highly recommend to anyone!

We stayed here on our way to New Hampshire, and as soon as we walked in, we were amazed. The rooms were really clean, the breakfast was really good (I recommend the avocado toast), and lastly the inn is right by the bike trail and it is a one minute walk to the town of Highland.

It’s hard to put into words how much my wife and I enjoyed our all too brief stay. To give it five stars does not do justice to the warm cozy atmosphere provided by Nancy Job well done!

Our family loved our stay at the Inn at Twaalfskill for 3 nights in November - Nancy is a wonderful host and the inn is both immaculate and perfectly located. Our rooms were large, clean, and well-appointed. Nancy noticed our likes and dislikes and went all out to cater to them. The location was perfect for exploring the area, visiting nearby towns and the nearby Culinary Institute and FDR Library. We went out each morning on the walking trails, including the Walkway Over the Hudson a short stroll away. The breakfasts were sumptuous, with different savory and sweet options each morning, always accompanied by a fruit and yogurt parfait and freshly baked goodies. The common area was kept well stocked with fruit, snacks, and beverages each day. Highest recommendation - we will definitely be returning.

We stayed for just one night- not enough! We will surely be back. Nancy is wonderfully talented. The Inn has so many lovely details-it is artfully well appointed and visually uplifting, as well as luxurious and so comfortable and tranquil. Breakfast was delicious!

A wonderful spot for a visit to the Hudson Valley. We were able to get a room last minute over the holiday weekend when our plans changed (our flights got cancelled so we changed to a more 'local' aka drivable trip). We had such a lovely stay. The Inn/house and rooms were so cozy and well decorated and incredibly clean. The breakfast was delicious too (and Nancy was super accommodating to my dairy allergy). We definitely recommend having a car in the area; however, the Inn is right on the Hudson Rail Trail and we had the best sunset walk over the Hudson River into Poughkeepsie. It was the perfect spot for a few night's stay and we hope to return in the future! Thank you again for a lovely time.
