Nice area but full of mosquitos being near the river and semi-swampy. Play area in the park is a little old but still very usable. Only one ladder area for toddlers to be able to slide. Lots of trails to walk if you bring but spray. The river can smell bad at times although the trees and river have some beautiful scenery.
My parents used to bring my sister and I when we were little and we loved catching frogs. Now I bring my kids to catch frogs. Beautiful trails as well. Public restrooms are usually not in the greatest shape but there are covered pavilions and picnic tables for amazing picnics. Great place to find/hide painted rocks
Group event playing kickball on decent ball field. Outfield needed mowing. Otherwise very nice location with beautiful natural space.
Family friendly park. Streams and a river. Hiking trails are a great adventure. Also has a ball field and playground equipment as well as pavilions.
Beautiful park! I've come out here several times throughout the years. I remember coming out here when I was in elementary school! They keep the property looking great! There are some things that need to be kept up a bit more, like the ball field, during the summer. Other than that, there really isn't anything that's negative! They have multiple pavilions that you can rent out and a huge walking trail through the woods! I, along with other teachers, came out here for school related activities during the summer for summer school! I talked with some of the staff and they were very helpful and willing to let us come out there! Great for pictures and picnics! During the winter, there are a lot of different places, at the park, to get pictures that you can put on your Christmas card! My wife and I got pictures, at the beginning of winter, for our baby reveal! Overall, this is a wonderful park and I can't wait to come back out during the summer! If there was a disc golf course out here, I'd rate 6 stars if I could! Just a thought! :)

Nice quiet park, has a playground for the young kids, offers camping, and has a nice spot to launch your kayak, canoe, or inturtube.
This place is perfect if you like to go for nature walks, take your dog(s) on walks through woods and let them just run, play and be free. We recently started coming here and our 3 year old Doberman simply LOVES it! There is also a playground for the kids. A paved road to get back there if need be. As well as paths made throughout that you can take to enjoy nature and all it has to offer.

Cute clean resturant. I had the chicken parm, chicken was not so good but the pasta was great, and the bread sticks were hard. The portions are generous as well. The wait staff was very friendly, and they have have good prices.
