Jekyll Island is a wonderful place. We took the trolley tour out of the Mosaic museum. Our guide was informative and entertaining. The homes and grounds of the club have to be seen to be believed.
A beautiful experience that was on my bucket list for so long. I'm glad I had the opportunity. I will be visiting again. Take the trip to see one of history's extraordinary houses. Indian Mound Cottage, the winter retreat of Standard Oil millionaire William Rockefeller, reopened Monday after a two-year $300,000 renovation. The house, built in 1891 by Gordon McKay, has new carpet, a fresh coat of paint and a new roof among other things. I have wonderful photos to share but I'm unable to do so. I hope that this helps anybody whom reads this to want to take a trip out to Jekyll Island, Georgia. I promise you won't be disappointed in any way shape or form.
Beautiful cottage built and decorated by the Rockefellers. Well worth the trip.
I’m not sure why we would be excited about visiting a museum of a family of social Darwinists who believe in and fund programs that support monopolies, superior races, eugenics programs, imperialism, & fascism to this day. I hope the tour talks about the need to hire public relations (propaganda) to clean up the rightly horrid reputations of this cartel.
Loved every bit of our tour, wish their was a way to do a paranormal tour inside this cottage!!
I bought the Jekyll Mosaic trolley ride and historic tour; An inside look at the Indian Mound Cottage was part of the tour. I've never been accused of being a history buff, but this place is worth seeing. The grandeur, the space, and the owners' history (Rockefellers) were fascinating. Our tour guide, Tim, was so informative and quite the storyteller. I highly recommend this visit.
Excellent history on the trolly-tour. You must schedule your tour with the Mosaic Museum.
Lovely and informative tram ride through the historic area on Jekyll Island. It included an I side visit of Indian Mound Cottage. Once inside, our tram operator gave interesting I sights to bother the family who lived there and the property.

This is THE place to shop for unique gift items. All items are handmade by local artists, and there is quite a selection to choose from. The inventory is changing all the time, so if you see something you like, you better grab it.
This small museum is located in the visitor center. It does a good job of covering the history of the island and the inhabitants. It's got some fun interactive things like an antique car you can sit in and take a picture. There's also a machine wh
We took the tour of the club with Sherri- great experience, so many fun facts and historical knowledge. You can tell she loves talking about the club with guests. Highly recommend.
I heard someone ask an employee what day is best with less people. Well, it's a water park in 90° summer days so every day is packed. Get there early is best. You can wait 20+ minutes in line for some slides that take 30 seconds to go down. You can'

Staff is great! They know what hospitality is all about! An older hotel that has been treated with love. Great for families and retirees. Newly remodeled. Attention to small details that make a difference. Well done!
A little confusing to find if you are not already staying at this beautiful hotel, itâs in between the buildings and up the stairs. The inside is small with limited seating but the porch outside has seating as well and itâs really beautiful to si
My husband surprised me with a room. Our check in was so easy and we were informed of a free shuttle for the island. Free breakfast was eggs, seasoned potatoes, turkey sausage, two types of waffles and the remaining standards. Coffee extras were very
