LOVED IT!! Great trails, signs posted to keep you on tract, lots of friendly hikers there daily, bring a walking stick and get ready to see some breath taking views!!
WOW!! What a beautiful corner of this great country! Thank you, Lord, for blessing us with nature like this! Truly amazing! Lots of trails of all demands to explore, surprising lookouts, lush forest, wonderful aromatic scents of unseen flowers or possibly tree bark. Inviting wooden benches for the weary wanderer thru out. For the most part trails are well signed out and trails are definitely well maintained. Thank you, Berea College! Met nice fellow hikers. A few dogs as well, some off leash but well behaved. Sept.'23: Beautiful hiking area! Yesterday was my second visit here and bc I had done Eagle's Nest, Buzzards Roost and Indian Fort Lookout in April and lOved it, I decided this time to do the East Pinnacles. It surely is an amazing hike and gives you a grandiose lookout into the stunning valley below while the vultures circle above. I still had plenty of energy and decided to head to ROBE Mnt. and had hoped to even possibly make it further on to Bassin Mnt. The trail started out pretty level but bc I did not have a topographical map I wasn't prepared for what was coming soon after: a roller coaster of downs and ups, like a Chinese dragon's tail. When the 4th dip into the deep appeared i decided to turn around, feeling a bit exhausted already and worried about stumbling. The trail itself is pretty narrow and feels at times more like a gametrail. I was the only one on it at least on that day as there were spiderwebs aplenty. There are no lookouts along the way. It is a trail thru forest and a tough one at that. I thought I had not made it to Robe Mnt. bc there was no sign nor something special along the hike. Now studying the topographical map today shows me that I indeed must have made it to Robe Mnt. afterall.
This was an absolutely beautiful hike! I didn't get to see the west pinnacles, but eagles nest, and the east pinnacles of were totally worth it. The hike up the Indian Fort was only 0.3 miles but it was very steep and Rocky. So make sure you're prepared for all the ups and downs and rockiness. Everyone we ran into was really nice.
I didn't, but was positive I was going to lose all of my toenails. 3.5 miles round trip, but it was all up hill to get to the lookout (change in elevation from the parking lot is 700 feet), earned 119 zone minutes, and it took us an hour 45 to complete. Started off easy, moved to moderate, and then turned hard-ish because of the elevation and uneven pathway. This is on my F That list along with Eagle Falls! If you are up for a challenge, you'll love it!
Once you climb the main trail, the hard part is over. Have plenty of time to visit all of the trails at the top. There are at least two electric car chargers in the parking lot too (j1772). The trails are dog friendly, but watch where your dog explores because at the top of the trails there are steep drop offs. In the spring the trails have irises and wild flowers blooming
Very nice place. Plenty of parking . Nice facilities. Very clean. First part of the trails are paved. Trails are clean. I found the trails to east pinnacles and to eagle's nest. Then around to Indian lookout rather easy. There is a lot of up hill hiking. So could be difficult if you are out of shape. Lot of beautiful views. The trail around to weather pinnacle is difficult. Lot of rocks and climbing. To get on top of west pinnacle. You have to climb up a rock witch I did not do. But love my day on the trails. I did over 7 miles that day. I will be back.
Beautiful trail with wonderful view at end. Be mindful of lots of poison ivy and wildlife.
This area is a hidden gem. I went there during the Fall. Parking spot is thought to find, GPS takes you to a private property. Look up the Berea College Forestry in google maps, their parking lot is where you want to go. I had to drive 2 miles past the place where GPS took me. Trails are well maintained. Hike is steep. Would be hard to get a young child or someone on the elderly side to climb comfortably. However, when you do it, the effort is well worth it. The views from both Indian Fort lookout and East Pinnacles were unbelievable. If you are in the area and like to hike, this place is a MUST. Thank you Berea College Forestry for having this place for all to enjoy!

We loved our hike here. We were in the area from hiking at Red River Gorge and stopped on our way home. The views from Eagles Nest and Indian Fort Lookout were awesome!! So worth your time and energy.
Super cool place. Decent diversity in booths. I travel to a lot of thrift/antique/flea markets up and down the southeast and I found just about everything I was looking for (some niche interests). And the prices aren't wack. Finally started my uraniu

For the past few years I've kept a membership here and I love it! It was already great but the spa equipment is a game changer!!! Do yourself a favor and try the body shaper and the hydro massage, you won't regret it!!!!
A large chapel host to all kinds of events, from live music to educational talks. A masterwork of a wooden interior creates a stunning back drop for shows.
