This is not necessarily a read but....
I've never tasted Indian food quite like this. I've always associated this cuisine with bold rich flavors with a pronounced and energetic spice profile. Always a robust and aromatic taste experience.
It had NONE of that.
Yes, the curries were creamy and filling but borderline bland. The Garlic Pita didn't taste like garlic at all. Mango Lassi, should be a refreshing balm for the typical Indian fare full of heat and spice but where's the Mango?
The restaurant's interior design was more tasteful than the dishes but the noise level though... more than deadened my already under stimulated senses.
Perhaps the "subtlety" in flavor is intentional - to cater to "western tastes".... or children. Then, they should own it and acknowledge that upfront.
If that is the case, India Palace has carved out a unique niche for itself: A place that caters to those with extremely sensitive and timid palates or (like my sister), averse to exotic spicy food.
The place has the best ambience, and mouth watering food. Service is very nice and very attentive staff.
The paneer samosa was too good and the daal makhni was delicious.
Be aware of their mango lassi full of water and we end up not drinking it. Garbage it, but the food was ok not very good either. Better places to eat Indian food. Here is the picture of it
Went to an India iPalace order to go. I talk the customer service put the red sauce and green sauce with tandoori chicken and they didn’t put anything bad service. Not recommend anyone order that Louis chicken if you order, please check your order before you’re leaving the counter. Thank you.
Buffet ends as at 2 PM but tea runs out at 1:15. What is this all about? Staff non responsive to request for additional tea. Nann sits out in buffet rather than being provided once you sit down so it’s fresh. Food is so so.
We will not return.
Order food and promised that it will ready in 20mins when go there for pickup everyone just say we don't have any order here may be we lost the order. Wait another 15min and then order picked up when come home chicken tikka masala dish was replaced with butter chicken(gravy like water)
May be some left over from morning buffet.
Bad experience will not suggest anyone.
Out with a friend we ordered appetizers mixed pakora platter, tasty but oily. The daal soup was good and for entrees ordered shrimp biryani and mixed tandoori platter which had a mix of all their tandoori meats. Shrimp biryani was just okay but the tandoori combo platter was horrible 😫 I mean the meat was not fresh and they just heated up yesterday old meat. Was very dissatisfied and when I asked the waitress she said it was fresh... I asked her to check with the chef 👨🍳 and she came saying that it was cooked freshly last night... they lied about the food and its freshness... stay out from their tandoori meats unless you clarify freshness. I won't be coming back and won't really recommend thus place unless you like bad Indian food.
Have gotten Take out before, but I ate in today. Service was great, food came out very quickly, and it was overall a nice relaxing place to dine. We got the butter chicken, palak paneer, and the aloo gobi masala. Also some garlic naan and basmati rice of course.
I was eating across the street and noticed Pinball Museum sign. I'm always very curious, so I walked in and was blown away.
More than what I imagined. Cashier explained everything in detail and broke down pricing and gave me a brief description and
Very unique old school video arcade located in Alameda's busiest commercial district. Pay for unlimited plays for a certain amount of time.
Decent selection of games range from the oldies like centipede and Pac-Man and Tron up to somewhere more mode
The drip coffee was bold and had good flavor. My wife liked her matcha latte. We also had an Ube Mochi cake which was amazing. The staff were friendly and quick. Iâll be coming back here.
Hidden gem in Alameda! Or maybe itâs not a hidden gem, and everyone knows this place. Regardless, all the dishes that we ordered were really good.
- Basil fried rice (super fragrant)
- BBQ lemongrass pork ribs (fall off the bone tender)
- Stuffed c
My partner and I stopped in here for a light dinner. We had a few cocktails and tried the charcuterie board and Margarita flatbread pizza. We really enjoyed everything we tried and had an amazing night. We will definitely be coming back here for date
Great variety of local beers on tap ranging from juicy IPAs to malt-forward stouts, all made with Admiral Maltings' malted grain. They even had local whiskies made with their malts, (will have to try those next time), and they offer tours of their fa
When I moved here from San Diego 2 years ago, I took a short walk and found this spot. Within moments, I was served by a great lady. Within 5 more minutes, I called her back over, introduced myself, and told her that I'd just moved here and that thi
If youâre in the East Bay and have a thing for ice cream, this is your spot. Itâs where I find the most unique flavors, like Filipino Calamansi and the standout Dan Tat, which is essentially Chinese egg custard turned into ice cream. Itâs perfe
Nice and cool area with the breeze from the bay air. Perfect place for large and small dogs. Pretty bustling on the weekends with so many pups playing. There's always a trashcan within and reach to drop off the dookies.
