India House Hostel - Hostel in New Orleans - 124 S Lopez St, USA

This place is really quite special. Amazing location and very chill/relaxed environment. Everyone for the most part has a good attitude. It was my first hostel experience and I'm rather pleased with my stay at India house. The ONLY downfall is that there is a 2wk max that you are allowed to stay. Doesn't matter how much money you have. After 2 weeks you get the boot. Which sucked, simply because my husband was getting his cancer treatment done at the hospital only a few blocks away. So having to leave and stay somewhere further was a total bummer. But if your looking for a cool, chill friendly environment at a decent prices. I would totally recommend staying at India house. You won't be disappointed.

A great hostel to stay in. Good location - street car is right across the road, which brings you right into the heart of New Orleans. A good vibe around the place at all times. The room I stayed in was nice and cool - A/C was top notch. Staff are very friendly - especially Lee, a really nice guy. He always checked up on me to make sure I was having a good time. He really cares about his guests - a legend! 🇮🇪 give this guy a raise.

We had a great time at this hostel. Its in an awesome location right near the trolley and in a good neighborhood. Our room was nice and the AC worked great. Lee at the front desk was very friendly and kind and helped us settle right in and was so helpful if we ever needed anything or had any questions. The hostel was nice and had everything we needed for our quick stay : )

The India House had the greatest staff. Friendly, helpful and kind. Just the best. I had a great experience there and loved that the room prices were so affordable. My friends who stayed at the hotel paid four times more. I will certainly come back again and again.

Great Hostel, amenities were superb, pool to use, laundry room, vending machines, TV room, BBQ’s the whole lot. Staff were exceptional and each and every one of them were just genuine people. Big shout out to Lee who we chatted to a lot through our stay, a great guy and credit to the India House team.

Had a great time and met the coolest people. Affordable stay. Convenient spot for the street car to go downtown. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Good food/music recommendations. Street parking was ideal. Glad I chose this hostel

Stayed in a private two person room in the main house which had gorgeous artwork and was extremely spacious. I rebooked to a dorm for my second night which smelled pretty musty and was smaller, but was nice enough, and still had access to the whole hostel. Many staff members were very helpful and friendly!

Ive been here twice already and i love every time i visit! staff is amazing, you meet the most amazing funniest people! lots to do in the house as well as they coordinate bar crawls etc, and getting to bourbon street is super easy, straight shot. will literally always come back! the photo is the BEST burrito i have ever had in my life!
