The best of the best!! There's truly just no place like independence village. They have a beautiful community with excellent caregivers and their activities are incredible! Their food is delicious, the community is spacious and bright and the staff and residents all have smiles on their faces!!
My father was in memory care at Storypoint. The care was top notch. The nursing staff monitored dad closely. Coupled with hospice care from gentiva in his last few weeks it gave me peace of mind to know how well my father was cared for. The staff was always considerate, kind and went above and beyond. The activities and services offered here set this place apart from other senior care places. I highly recommend independence village and Storypoint for your loved ones.
I’ve have experienced Independence Village Avon Lake on numerous occasions. I was impressed each time. The activities provided are unique and heartfelt. From having the Euclid Beach rollercoaster car visit to live musical entertainment. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. It’s no wonder the residents are quick to smile.
I have had the opportunity to visit IV Avon Lake a few times, and can't get over how beautiful it is! The residents are very kind and welcoming and seem truly happy. They do so many spectacular activities, parties and outings. No time to be bored! I cannot say enough about how caring and warm the employees are. It's just a wonderful place to call home.
I work as a caregiver from an outside company for one of the residents. This is a wonderful facility! Everyone who lives here seems so happy and content, just enjoying their day. The staff always has a smile on their face. Everytime I walk through the doors, I am excited to be working!
Horrible place, staff always on their phones. They don't even check on the clients. Only if they ring bell. Many times, I've come to check on my mother only to find her soaked in urine! And ,when I've mentioned to a nurse she would say well they never rang buzzer! Why is that ok??? If a resident wears depends , why don't the staff check every couple hours?
I am very blessed to be a part of Independence Village of Avon Lake as its a very special place. The residents and families are fantastic. The staff is caring.
Our first impression of the Independent Living residences was and continues to be AMAZING! Our family member joined the Independence Village family as a resident one month ago. It was a difficult transition, not uncommon. One month later, she is smiling, happy, making friends, and joining the activities. The communication between all concerned is fantastic! The amicable staff knows the residents by name. The residents are friendly and welcoming. The apartments are beautiful. The activities are fun and plentiful. The dining provided by Chef Phil and his culinary team is delicious. Such a warm and welcoming community compared to others I’ve experienced. Thanks to all of you for your compassion and dedication!!!

Beautiful little hidden gem of a park with benches, picnic tables, and a building with wraparound porch with rocking chairs to sit and admire the gorgeous scenery of Lake Erie.
Being from Arizona, we love the food at Las Margaritas! It reminds us of home, minus the late night hours ð They are generous with the protein, unlike most food establishments. My tacos were LOADED with shrimp. I was also excited to see that they
Great little launch with restrooms fish cleaning station option to buy bags of ice and if you're looking at reviews before coming here it's 5 dollars to launch.
Restrooms are not open during winter months but this is a very cool pier on Lake Erie. Sunset or sunrise views can be breathtaking. The pier is also very cool in winter when there is ice covering the railings & benches. Be careful when walking!
I like going to Salad Kraze for their fresh salads and soups. I love the Garden of Eaton. Do get their soups - I love their French onion which is super low carb. They usually run out, so you may want to get the soups a little earlier. The big salad i
