Fabulous location in Independence,|Oregon. Located in downtown Independence, right next to the Willamette River. Super friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. Our room had a spacious balcony with a river view. The only thing lacking is an in room safe. Breakfast every morning, and a great bar with small bites served later in the day. This was our first stay at the Independence, but certainly not our last.

Great hotel, very pleasant hotel staff. We booked because we had a High School reunion in their banquet room and was easier just to book a room for the night. The atmosphere in the hotel was very pleasant. The rooms were spot on with fluffy down pillows and comfy mattresses. The rooms decor was light and fun. In all great place to stay.

The lobby, rooftop bar, clear roof dining area and the overall decor are modern and create a welcoming feeling. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. As a bicyclist the indoor and outdoor repair areas as well as integrating bikes into the decor is a special treat if you're an enthusiast. ||The few down sides were the upholstered chairs in the room. The distance between the seat back and the edge of the chair was so great, we had to borrow bed pillows to push us closer to the edge so our legs could fold over. The breakfast buffet was selection limited but of good quality. They did run out of food towards the end of the buffet time. ||Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This review was a little tricky to post. I came to this hotel because of the awesome reviews. In a lot of ways the hotel is clean and modern. The bar is great and the food too. Here comes the tricky part. During our stay we had three different youth softball staying and it was a hot mess. Kids were running around banging on doors, playing with the elevators and yelling through the hallways till 12 AM. Granted one would say go to the front desk unfortunately the front desk did not want to take control of the situation. So I had to do it. Luckily the parents seemed kind to understand to address. I was a former soccer travel mom so I understand how it goes but the hotels we stayed at had a very strict no tolerance policy and let the families know ahead of time. I am upset that this hotel as lovely as it lacked to take control of their Hotel.

This is a great place for any visitor but a superb place for cyclist. Great location to bike right out the front door to many of the areas great cycle rides. Staff is very nice and anxious to help. Fantastic breakfast. Clean modern rooms. Beautiful rooftop area and view of the Willamette. Great value too. I will always come back here when staying in the area.

This is our favorite hotel. We are always super satisfied, but this time, our room had some kind of maintenance issue. They gave us a free upgrade to an absolutely gorgeous suite. They have a beautiful location, friendly staff, and great breakfast! This will always be our place to stay anytime we need a place in or near Monmouth/Salem area.

Great, clean beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Our room was big with a wonderful comfy bed and nice view of the river. Bathroom was big, shower was a nice size with very hot water and shampoos, body wash and conditioner. Keurig coffee maker with creamer in the room. Also ironing board and iron. Roof was open with a great view.|The breakfast was good and had three types of coffee. Bar was good and Storm the bartender was excellent. He should be the ambassador for The Independence Hotel. Kelly was friendly and knowledgeable. All in all a great stay.|W&M

Really friendly staff. Hotel is located in a cool area that makes accessing the river, park, walking paths, and the town. They are also a dog friendly hotel, and even had a little gift package for our dogs when we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back
