Kiddos love the baby animals and the hay pyramid. It's such a fun place to come during halloween to pick up your pumpkin and enjoy some farm animals as well.
I recommend this place, it is very nice to be in contact with nature, it is very relaxing.... one of the most exciting activities for childrens and nature lovers, you can have a very pleasant time in this place, there are many activities, in case you are wondering there is no store so bring your food and drinks or snacks.
Took my youngest here to pick a pumpkin and we left with wheelbarrow full of them. The people were great, the prices were more than fair and there was a hay castle and a hay fort for the little ones. For $6 both my son and I were able to spend two hours in their well stocked petting zoo. My son and his aunt were not happy about leaving because they were enthralled with the extreme amount of cuteness present. I highly recommend this place for all your pumpkin, gourd and farm animal petting needs.
Very cute idea, however, the animals all seemed very over it. By that I mean they just run away from everyone because you can tell they are tired of being picked up over and over again all day by little hands. I see parents letting their “older” kids run around alone picking up animals and I’ve seen those kids being very rough with the animals (I’m sure they are just excited and don’t know a lot about how to handle animals which I get). Also don’t get me started about the absolutely rude farmer who is clearly stressed out with all the kids being there and being excited. He yells at every kid including my son because he ran (which I know is a rule, no running, which I continuously support and was reminding my kids). He tried to make my son “come back and walk where you were running.” All while trying to argue with my 8 year old who was clearly confused as to why this farmer was yelling at him that way. I’m sorry, he is not a parental figure to my children therefore he should be finding a way to speak to children in a nicer tone. If that is not possible because the stress of the season, they should not open the animals to the public. We will probably not be going back, which is sad because this place has potential. I am honestly shocked that no one else is speaking up about this here.
I wanted to love this place so much! It was cute and my kids were so happy to get to hold baby animals. However, I haven't been able to stop thinking about the horrible conditions that the animals had to live in. The chicks seemed to be nearly dead and had NO water in their cage. The kittens were adorable but seemed way too young and only had one third bowl of dirty water between six or so of them and no food that I saw, a sheep was terrified in the corner and running from the kids trying to pet it. Every single animal looked miserable and terrified. My kids had a blast, but I was stunned that any animal lover could love this place.
It's ok. Geared for the little ones... Petting farm is nice with older animals and baby ones they can hold. Perfect size pumpkins to pick. There is shade with picnic tables. Lots of hay and hay activities.
This place also known as Granpas Barn is a really cool place to bring the kids to explore a pumpkin patch and see some animals. Rates aren't that bad to pet the animals I believe it is 6 dollars for adults and 4 dollars for kids. There were all kinds of animals to see and interact with from barn kittens to little chics and goats. They had really good sized pumpkins here as well. There were plenty of porta potties for evyone to use and a hand washing station for after interact ING with the animals. Plenty of benches in coverd areas to sit and relax at while the kids run around. Found some cool catapillar while out here that they got keep because apparently the chicken was not hungry.
Lovely place to get your Halloween pumpkins and to see cute animals!

A really cool brewery. It did not exist when I was a student, but they were super nice and the vibe was super chill. It is a great place for adults to go and try some beer. Will return the next time I am in Davis for sure.
