This is single-handedly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. To start, they only take cash deposits which is incredibly dodgy off the bat. We then got into our room which was 87 degrees inside with an AC that hardly works. The shower also didn’t work and no matter which side you turned it to, it would get so hot that it would physically burn your hands. There was no remote for the tv and no sort of soap anywhere, not even to wash your hands with after using the restroom. There were burn marks in the sheets and the beds were stiff. The pillows were also so lumpy I’m in pain in my neck after waking up this morning. They also didn’t refill the toilet paper at all and the one extra roll we had was hidden underneath the counter of the sink and was covered in dirt. This was honestly one of the most dreadful travel experiences I’ve ever had and I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever been so upset as I was when I stepped foot into this room after a long day of traveling. As someone who is a seasoned traveler, this was a horrible experience and one like I’ve never had; and I mean that in the worst way possible. We almost left at 1 am and debated sleeping in our car because we thought we would be more safe and comfortable in there.
I’ve got mixed feelings about this hotel. The amenities are different from anywhere I’ve stayed in the area within at least 100 miles, and such amenities range from a rain shower paired with massaging wall mounted sprayers in the shower, a mirror above the bed for some naughty fun, and even a window gazing directly into the shower from the main room for when you’re significant other wants to put on a shower show for you. The WiFi unfortunately won’t directly connect to any outside electronics you may bring for yourself(in my case anyway, maybe it won’t be an issue for others.). The room as a whole was pretty clean although I wouldn’t call it spotless. The air conditioner blows icicles and the heater feels like the pits of a fiery lake so adequate climate control is not an issue. I am however displeased with the fact that, while I have no issue with smoking rooms as a former smoker, there are burn marks in the comforter on the bed. The king sized bed is comfortable, but unfortunately only one side of the bed comes equipped with a place to charge your phone or other devices so depending on which side of the bed you sleep your device will be out of reach. Now, for the next subject at hand, this place screams unsafe. After only being here for two hours or so I’ve already been witness to a drug deal, as well as a domestic violence issue in progress. Loud beating on a door below me got me out of bed and to the widow where I was able to catch the above stated entertainment just before the man and woman that were having a very loud “disagreement” sped off before nearly hitting two parked cars. All in all I would say while this is an interesting room given its amenities clearly geared toward intimacy, renting for the night here isn’t worth the $130 it cost me. I’ve stayed in much MUCH nicer establishments for less money.
I went to the location to look at the rooms. I was very impressed with the rooms and had made a reservation. I spoke with a very nice lady by the name of Nash. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my reservation. I called and was told by a male that my reservation was cancelled and I would receive a email. I didn’t receive the email and called back to see why. I spoke with Tameka she had a very negative unprofessional attitude from start to finish. She refused to take my information(email) that I gave when making the reservation to send me a confirmation of my cancellation. She continued to tell me that Nash didn’t work the front desk and I didn’t need to speak with Nash about nothing. I must say the rooms are beautiful. However, I wouldn’t give a wooden nickel to this establishment at this point. Tameka displayed absolutely no customer service skills and ignorance at its finest. She clearly doesn’t understand that occupied rooms contributes to her payroll.
When we arrived just based off the looks we were already iffy, but we had the assumption maybe it’ll look better in the inside. So we keep good spirits, we went inside to check-in the customer service was decent we only experienced one rude employee at the very beginning of the stay during check-in. They wanted us to put down a $60 deposit but didn’t explain anything about the deposit which we did not mind paying but a explanation for it would’ve been nice I had to ask what’s the deposit for and still didn’t get much information it just didn’t make sense to me the employee acted as if that was explained already or on there website they acted as if we were supposed to know about the deposit. 2. Handed us the keycard to our room didn’t tell us upstairs or downstairs or if we were in the front or far back…. yes of course they have numbers on the rooms…and we can read but we are not from here never been here so I would’ve expected that under there job title is to accommodate us with where exactly what room we are in.) The rooms are decent, definitely smaller than you would expect especially seeing the pictures, Only one main white light was in the room it didn’t put off much light at all but you had the LED lights going, the one around the bed in our room didn’t work, The room did smell like smoke but it was supposed to be a “non smoking” room, The fan in the bathroom is SO LOUD and constantly goes on due to the light and fan being on one switch together. There’s no microwave, iron, hairdryer in the room but the front desk is willing to accommodate you with microwave from there break room. We killed so many flys in our room and we never had the door open or a window they just keep appearing. Only good thing I can say about this place is that it was peaceful.
Do not stay here… I really wish I had names so I could be specific. Me and my husband stayed here one night just on business and coming right back him but I wanted to stay somewhere with a romantic vibe to the room which we got. The room seemed clean. However the tv remote and some of the lights did not work but maintenance came and fixed it in about 10 min. He was very friendly. So just wanted to start off with the only positive part of the visit. Now…. Babyyyy idk who the 2 front desk girls are but they are not friendly at all. When we went to check in, mind you I booked through Expedia and paid at the time I booked) the girl tells me I have to pay a $60 cash deposit which I thought was a city scam because I’ve NEVER heard that at a hotel. Once I give her the deposit she asks me do I have the card I booked the room in, I state yes and she tells me when the screen lights up to stick the card in…. So I look at the screen and I see $65.xx and I asked what it was for and she tells me the room and I told her I paid for it already and she asked was it through a third party and I said Expedia. She told me “they took their portion”…. I was thinking wth do you mean their portion. I wouldn’t have booked through them or got them envolved if I was just going to have to pay once I got here. She also stated “you will only pay once”. I checked my phone and I was charged twice like I knew I would be. I got quiet because I’m not the going back and forth type. I’m going to make a call and speaking with whoever is in charge. We get to the room and I call front desk looking for a customer service department or manager. She said one wasent there and would be there in the morning. The following morning we get up and go to check out and Cruella Deville was working today…. Very rude. We walk in and dosent greet us( neither did the first one) and with the most uninterested look on here face looks at us like we are bothering her for coming in. I tell her the situation and she ask my room number and with an attitude she said “that was refunded to your card” I said and my $60 “you getting that back” (with attitude) and throws a envelope with my name on it and tells me to sign it. I do she gives me my money and she looks down. I was standing there because at other hotels they have you sign a paper sometime and I didn’t know. When she looks back up and we are still standing there she says “y’all can have a good day” as to dismiss us. If you are nasty your self stay here because you will fit right in. If you are looking for quality customer service and hospitality DO NOT STAY HERE.
Do not stay here with your family. The office smells like weed. This is a place for hookers and drugs. They have hourly rates and “night window”. Stay anywhere else. Don’t support this business. They let you book online and ask you for cash once you get here. You can’t cancel and go somewhere else. Idc if it’s just a deposit. It’s false advertising and an inconvenience. Plus they make money off you getting cash out. Horrible place.
This is my second stay at the establishment, the first time was great only issue was the knob in the jacuzzi was broken but we pushed through. The second stay was horrible. The idea of these rooms are great but there must be more thought and restaffing for it to be better. Along with the price hike for no visible improvements, the $100 cash deposit seems unnecessary. The staff is not attentive and they are unprofessional. We asked for towels at check in and did not get them until 7p.m. After having to ask again. There was no toilet tissue in the room. The tv was controlled by two different remotes and it only played one channel the entire stay. The refrigerator had a smell and did not cool down at all. The led lights in the room were not connected to a switch that was accessible to the guest, so we had to sleep with the led lights on the bright white setting THE ENTIRE NIGHT. The website says that someone is supposed to be available until 11 on site but there was no one in the office at 8:45 for the remainder of the night.
Personally enjoyed our experience last night, it was interesting to say the least? The rooms are cool, and Jackson needs cool. It’s novelty, it’s fun. Take it for what it is! Definitely didn’t feel unsafe, even when we got locked out at midnight. Ms. Felicia, the manager when I was checking out was absolutely wonderful, sweetest woman ever. We come down for day trips and appointments, so we definitely plan on staying again soon! Ps, don’t forget your key.
