Nikki and Alyssa are doing a fabulous job, very kind and will take care of all your drinks and food needs. The food is incredible, Chris the owner and Chef at times will always keep it changing and interesting. Atmosphere is amazing. Great place, I live around the area and come all the time. Many tvs, they play whatever you want. Music system is good as well.

Update: Ok update, online ordering is not working. She said to just call. lol Anyways I tried their house vodka, it was delicious. Also had to have the pizza again!!! Definitely recommend it. The waitress was really considerate of our time crunch, that was really nice of her. She did say next time order online, so that's cool. Anyways the pizza was amazing & my friend enjoyed her dish as well. We want to come back. I'm definitely coming back for the pizza. They also have their own house vodka. Pics to come.

I wish I could express how amazing my experience was at this establishment. This is absolutely a hidden gem in our small town of des plaines, Im only mad I hadn’t discovered it sooner. The staff is such a great team. They are all so lovely and welcoming, I wish every place provided service like theirs. You can expect a Great experience no matter who is on that night. I must also mention, The chefs in back are also top tier, any time I have order my meal is delicious and packed with care. In the beginning I was coming back just for the food but now I continue to come back week after week but of the team and the environment they have continually provided. Illusion cafe is the bar and grills of all the bar and grills ever produced.

The Eggscelent Burger is, well, EGGSCELENT. I have never had a burger this good EVER from a restaurant. Perfect flavor, tenderness of the beef, and so juicy. Their sesame bun is the best. I definitely recommend and would actively go there again.

As soon as we walked in Nikki the server was not welcoming and it seemed like she didn’t want to serve us. She had some sort of attitude towards us for some reason from the start and didn’t come by our table at all. Her husband, the owner came to take our drink order and the way she dropped off our drinks with an attitude and snappy remarks made it seemed like we were begging for her service instead of feeling welcoming for bringing business to her restaurant. Nikki approached us differently than the other customers. Maybe it’s because the others were mostly Europeean and me and my friend are Mexican and Asian and she didn’t care to serve us with same manner as she was short and snappy towards us. We would never come back here and receive this service again, it was really disappointing since we were excited to try this new place. Nikki, if you are reading this learn to give better hospitality, its really embarrassing the way you acted towards us we hope you realize that. You want customers to feel welcomed in your restaurant.

Chris and Nikki, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+🌟 What an interesting backstory for this wonderful hidden gem of an establishment. Chris really started this business when he was around 19 years old, and, they are working the entire restaurant themselves, Chris and Nikki both with the help of one of their friends as a chef. No one wants to work for whatever reason. You can see support for the Ukraine🇺🇦 everywhere, they are very compassionate here, very empathetic folks.🇵🇱🇮🇹 Anyway, we dropped our daughter off at the airport, and shot over to Illusion, and it was one of my best choices in a good while. The inside was well maintained, bathrooms are extremely clean and laid out well. And like I always say, "clean bathrooms, clean kitchen!" My wife loved the pierogies, the Greek salad which was large enough to feed three people, Lol. Her Lemon Martini, 🥹👍 boom shakalaka! The Tiramisu was really really good. I've had Tiramisu at some of the best Italian restaurants, Chris and Nikki's Tiramisu is better! I just had a couple of Miller high Life 🍻 and the 1 lb double 🍔 cheeseburger! That, almost filled me up, lol! Also a Coke, 🥤and a couple of forks full of my wife's Tiramisu. 🍰 This is an awesome venue to watch a game. Big projection screens and smaller flat screens around the seating area and bar. Chris knew how to do it right! He's got an awesome helper in his wife Nikki. I can't tell you how wonderful this establishment is. You need to go and check it out! You can see I've done a lot of reviews, this is one of the top 1% easily 😁. And as for the Google guide and you know who you are, extorting a fee and product from this establishment? This is a hobby dude! You do this out of the kindness of your heart, not for financial gain. I come here all the time! It’s such a friendly staff. Niki and Halley are so kind. The food here is some of the best in the area.
