My experience at this Italian restaurant was simply superb. From the moment I stepped in, the service was exceptional. The bread they served was fresh, warm, and paired perfectly with a delightful dipping oil, setting the stage for an amazing meal ahead. And oh, the pasta! Cooked flawlessly and paired with the most delicious sauce. I highly recommend this place for anyone who appreciates great service and outstanding Italian cuisine.
IL Bistro is a wonderful Italian restaurant here at Pike Place. The service is great just like the food. The restaurant offers an intriguing, intimate, and moody atmosphere that's very enjoyable. That plus a cool bar section creates a great dynamic mix and vibe. I recommend the Calamari, Rigatoni Bolognese, and Tiramisu. The sauces were done very well, the food was fresh, and the portions were good. For parking I recommend using one of the pike place garages and walking through the market to the restaurant. It's a nice walk! If you're not quite sure how to get there; think of the directions towards the gum wall, and walk down the steps right by the Pike Place sign and there you go, enjoy some great food!
Il Bistro provides quality food with an intimate, low-lit ambience.
We started with the Gamberoni, a very tasty appetizer (comprised of sautéed prawns, Italian vermouth, garlic, Roma tomatoes and chili flakes).
My wife savored the Rigatoni Bolognese and I very much enjoyed the Bisteca, which was cooked perfectly and which was accompanied by a Cabernet demi-glace, broccolini and gorgonzola creamed fingerling potatoes.
The harshest criticism I have is that the lighting was so low that I needed my cellphone flashlight to see the menu.
The service was very good and the background music was low-volume jazz.
Be forewarned that: (1) bread is not offered before your meal or with your appetizer at no charge; and (2) there is a 4.5% surcharge listed on the bill that is described as going to the staff.
Based on the quality of the food and of the service, I would recommend Il Bistro.
Underrated, good food, nice atmosphere. Friendly staff is very accommodating. I recommend. As far as the food, I can say the gnocchi and pepperoni pizza were delicious. Nice spot for a date night or first date depending on your significant other. I would stop in again even if it was just me.
My girlfriend and I went for a night out and the staff at IL Bistro went above and beyond to make this is a night to remember. Food was great and they even granted a special request we made in the booking to have rose pedals on the table.
It's on the expensive side but I highly recommend as an occasional night out. I had the Linguini and a glass of Moscato
wine both of which were pleasant.
Excellent atmosphere. The waitstaff were polite, and knew when to come and go.
The focaccia was fresh, and roasted beet salad was tasty. Unfortunately, the flavor uniting the pasta and meat dishes was SALT. The overuse of salt killed the other flavors in the dishes. Plus the linguini had very little of any clam broth, with sausages thrown in for good measure.
Chefs with low experience or cooks following directions will use salt overbearingly or too early in meal preparation, so when the water reduces, the intensity of the salt increases. So it was with our experience here. We paid far too much for our meal.
Great spot at the Pike Market foe authentic Italian. Everything is super fresh and made in-house like the pasta and even the Gelato. Nice ambience, super great service and worth the experience.
Il Bistro in Seattle offers a romantic ambiance and exceptional wine selection. The calamari was a delight, and the pizza reached perfection—possibly the best I’ve ever had—a must-visit for refined dining.

My wife and I came here by accident. We were both very pleasantly surprised by the taste of real coffee. But the main thing is a pleasant atmosphere, unobtrusive quiet music, a cultured audience and very friendly staff. A small coffee shop with a big
