IKEA - Furniture store in Elizabeth - 1000 Ikea Dr, USA

This place is fascinating has everything I needed the most I bought mirrored cabinets from IKEA they perfectly fit into my room. The restaurant has delicious food and very big dinning area and play area for kids I loved this place if you wanna shop around take your time here you will find lots of useful things for your house apartment or dorm I will definitely come back again for more stuff it’s my happy place to shop 😃 at this IKEA Store!

We visit every few months. Today was the first time visiting on a weekday morning. The place was empty - it was a very relaxed shopping experience.

It was a great place plenty of toys for the holiday season it has a restaurant and it’s a very large store with very nice staff.

My comment about Ikea Cafe. Good customer service but need a bit more cleaning in cafe table area. It might depends on shift but the manager should pay attention to staff responsibility. Beside above comment, the view of Newark Airport was amazing. You can see landing airplanes. If you have time just get coffee or tea and watch the lending airplanes, stress relief cafe.

Big maze same as every country. Only decoration for sample is way different style. Cafeteria is clean and spacious. Swedish meatballs is mandatory for every country and taste are the same. But another menu some are common, some are specific per each country. As I went for 3 places, Thailand Korea and USA. There are menu for each country which is nice. Variety Beverages and most of them are sparkling water, cola or diet cola, coffee, tea. Dedicated utensils and many sauces (4 of them). Checkout and Payment is the same , with cashiers, self service with camera records and also have delivery. Plenty of car parking. Fun to walk to get some inspiration or get delicious meals. Or furnitures, doll or etc.

IKEA has redone this particular store. A lot of new items and have also redone their marketplace. Unfortunately, they don't sell cheese anymore which is weird but they do have a lot of new items including candies. Going to the as is story is fun as usual as you never know what it will find. The food is also great view on a nice cheap lunch or breakfast. Ikea, usually the same experience you walk around like a rat in a maze. Then out of the blue there's an announcement that all the registers are down and these people are all of a sudden using paper credit card gliders from the 1970s. I have not seen those things in about 10 years, and obviously neither had they. Staff are always nice but it's Ikea.

Shopping at IKEA used to be a delightful experience, but unfortunately, that joy seems to have vanished at this particular store. I visited the cafeteria in the middle of a Friday afternoon, and to my surprise, it was practically empty. After trying the food, I understood why. The quality was below average, and even the iconic IKEA meatballs were a huge disappointment. Something just wasn't right. The mashed potatoes tasted artificial, and the peas had seen better days. It was one of the worst IKEA meals I've ever had. Now, I won't comment on the items being sold here, as they are pretty standard across all IKEA stores. They're affordable and serve their destined purpose perfectly. What I do want to highlight is the mistreatment of some of the items, particularly the living ones. I was shocked and deeply disappointed by the condition of the plants. How could they let it get this bad? Some were withered, others completely dried out, and many were even pulled out from their pots. It was devastating to witness this and it reflects on the poor management of the store. On a positive note, I think the staff at this store were friendly and helpful. When we encountered an issue with an automatic cashier, a young lady assisted us and was very apologetic about the situation. I don't think I will be visiting this store anytime soon. Visited in April 2023. Paid by card.
