Ichiban Sushi - Sushi restaurant in Gainesville - 4928 NW 39th Ave, USA

My first time there and I was impressed. Beautiful restaurant. Our server was prompt and attentive. We had Bento and Sushi and both were delicious and presented beautifully! There are so many choices on their menu. So even if you don't fancy Sushi, you will have other choices. Great experience! Great for a date night! It's in a plaza with ample parking. Across from One Love Cafe.

My wife and I are huge sushi people and are very picky, and Ichiban exceeded our expectations. It was a chill atmosphere with a great bar. They have a large outdoor seating area that is beautiful at night. We got the sunset roll and the spicy tuna roll. Both were delicious! We will definitely return to try more sushi rolls on their large menu!

Excellent staff and atmosphere. Went on a Saturday night and we were still seated quickly. Gluten free soy sauce was available, and thoughtfully provided in a new container in case of cross contamination. The rolls themselves were neat and beautiful but a little large. Proportionate ingredients though! The nigiri was okay. Honestly the fish slices were large. I'd rather have them cut in half and receive 2 pieces per order. Overall, it's really good and I will dine here again.

My office had an exceptionally large take away order earlier this week. The woman on the phone was extremely helpful and patient. The boxes were neatly packed and labeled with everyone’s name and order. This made it easy to distribute. We will definitely try to dine in next time for the full experience!

The food is really good. I enjoy their soups and rolls. Nothing is wrong with the food. It is everything else they need to work on. The inside needs to be painted badly. A lot of their booths are torn up. Some of them have metal sticking out (yet they’ll still try to sit you there). The tables need a deep cleaning as well as they are sticky. If they let the front of the house look the way it does, I cannot imagine what the back looks like.

Visited on a fairly busy Sunday evening. We were greeted, seated and dealt with quickly and courteously. Very extensive menu that offers many unique choices. To say the Crab Rangoon was among the best I’ve had, could possibly be an understatement. Tried the Dragon Roll, with eel sauce requested on the side. Although visually a 7/10, it tasted great! My guest got the beef & broccoli and onion soup. Those were said to be great tasting too. Will likely eat here again when in town visiting. Note: Their website menu, at least on my phone, brought up have a ‘Not Safe’ warning.

I sincerely enjoyed the food and atmosphere of this restaurant. Staff are polite and friendly. What impressed me the most was the chef’s skill and ability in preparing the sushi rolls. The Volcano and the Samurai are beautiful and full of flavor. The rich deep flavors are amazing. I can’t wait to return and try more rolls. I think this chef has the right to claim #1. I love other places and I’m adding this guy to my list of go to places. I’d like to thank him or her. Enjoyed the edinomi and miso soup as well. Enjoy your weekend 😊
