I LOVE good sashimi and sushi! Been to probably 90% of these types of restaurants in Monmouth County! By far Ichiban is the best I’ve been to. WHY, the sizes and freshness of the sashimi and sushi are second to none! Priced extremely fair for value and BYOB. For non Sashimi and sushi lovers there is also hibachi! I’m here at least twice a month!!!! Go here!!!!!!!

Always good , been going for years. Great Hibachi Restaurant. Great Service. Cooks are very accommodating to allergies too. Over all place is a 41/2 stars. Very clean . Also resturant side is also very good as well.

Have dined here several times, as well as ordered take out, and the food is always fantastic! The sushi is so fresh and the hibachi portions are great for the price. Have also dined in both areas of the restaurant. The hibachi side is good if you have a large group mostly having hibachi. The dining side is good when your group is ordering a mix, plus it is better for conversation (also, the seats are so comfortable!). Highly recommend!!!

I've been here twice so far. They have a large dining area on one side and hibachi seating on the other side of the restaurant. The portions here are huge! The first time we came we had the miso Chilean sea bass and chicken teriyaki. The miso Chilean sea bass was very good, and the only good dish. The chicken teriyaki had no flavor. The second time I tried the chicken and shrimp hibachi. The chicken was dry! The fried rice wasn't anything great, but the noodles were good. They barely put any sauce on the chicken and shrimp hibachi like other Japanese restaurants do. They didn't give you any dipping sauces that usually come with hibachi either. I had hibachi at Koi Sushi & Hibachi last week which is only a few minutes away and far better! It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good at the same time besides the Chilean sea bass. I found the food here to be bland. I won’t be coming back.

Friendly staff and most importantly sushi 🍣 is absolutely fresh. Manager/owner walked over and asked if everything was ok and the staff constantly kept eyes on me. Awesome service and can’t wait to come back. Also, they have great and affordable daily lunch specials. I also noticed how clean and organized it was here. This place gets my two thumbs up!!

It was a typical hibachi experience. Our chef was fun and funny. The food is good and they give you plenty to eat. Overall, it is a good place to have a group function where you don't interact a lot with your guests because of the necessity of the seating arrangements and the noise level from other tables.
