Iao Valley Inn - Bed & breakfast in Wailuku - 80 Iao Valley Rd, USA

The Iao Valley Inn is on the road up to the state park and is a garden lover's heaven. Within the extensive grounds are a stream and falls, beautiful aged trees, flowers and plants galore; and a panopoly of accompanying birds.||The rooms are well appointed with comfortable furniture both inside and on the lanai; there are all the convenieices of personal fridges, toaster ovens, microwaves and coffee machines for light snacks and breakfast. There is plenty of storage and hanging, and really interesting local artwork. We were also very well looked after by our hosts, and would be very happy to visit again.||Some superficial redecoration is due, but this does not detract from the whole ambience.

Everything was wonderful about our stay! The grounds are just lovely, and Tamara offered us a delightful breakfast each morning. The location is close to everything. We stayed in the Orchid room. The room was clean, bed was comfy, and there were even fresh flowers upon our arrival! I highly recommend Iao Valley Inn, and will definitely stay again!

I can’t think how to describe the amount of warmth and gratitude I feel towards Tamara and Bob. It’ll have to be staying there again! Which I absolutely will do. (If my dates are booked I’ll be begging Tamara 😅) They really are the best, sweetest, most genuine people and considerate hosts. If you’re wondering if I’m exaggerating I can understand why. I never had the expectations that this place provides.. |As FOR the place - I was in the Orchid room - they have just 3 units to rent. The serenity of this place .. Oh my goodness. I also felt more privacy than I would imagine is possible for any accommodation. As amazing as every aspect was, this is the #1 reason why I plan to book here again. Well, I’ll admit it really is my level of gratitude that makes me want to be sure they know i really do feel this way. It was overall WONDERFUL ❤️❤️ |I don’t really write reviews - I feel obligated to do so this time, I loved it so so I much. Tiny yet super significant addition: with my hair hotel size shampoos drive CRAZY. I also struggle w them sometimes, pretty much stopped trying. This is the first and only place that provided .. full size bottles!! This was the nicest place. Room was plenty big, nice bathroom, and quant porch area. Plenty of water pressure, cool old looking tub/shower, and a fresh breakfast waiting for us every morning. Gorgeous waterfall at the bottom of the property, and we saw rainbows a few times and a double rainbow once. Parking is a weee bit tight, and bed was super soft. Didn't bother me, but seemed a little too soft for my wide. Definitely would stay here again

Ioa Valley Inn an amazing place to stay - the accommodations and food went beyond my expectations. The land around their home was something out of what I expect paradise to be - views of the mountains and ocean, a stream running thru it and the plant life allowed for all sorts of fruits to be grown and used in breakfast. The owners were very pleasant and kind - chairs, boogie boards, beach stuff and towels all provided.||Some of the best sleep ever had with a tropical breeze and comfortable bed .||Great choice of want to experience Maui life as it was before big hotels and enjoy real Hawaiian hospitality

We spent 5 nights in the Cottage and had the most relaxing and peaceful vacation. We were awoken by the birds in the morning and fell asleep to the sounds of the river at night. It was wonderful to be able to cook and enjoy the fresh fruits that were in the Cottage on our arrival. Thanks to Tamara and Bob for giving us a new home away from home! It was the perfect getaway and we can't wait to return!

I absolutely loved my stay in the cottage. What could be better than waking up to hearing waterfalls, birds singing and beautiful sunrises?! The cottage was darling and very clean. The location is very convenient.

My wife says staying in the cottage is like staying in a treehouse. I think it’s like staying in a terrarium. Whether you choose the cottage or one of the two rooms, you will find your perfect hideaway. Iao Valley Inn is just that: an inn nestled in the Iao Valley, complete with expansive lush foliage, the Iao River, waterfall and a chorus of birds. It’s hard to imagine you’re only a five-minute drive from Wailuku! Some guests are somewhat intimidated when making a turn into the property. Tamara and Bob have produced an ingenious video to steer first visitors to the inn. ||Once you’ve arrived at the inn at your designated parking space, you will appreciate the care the hosts have provided. We chose The Cottage for its privacy and facilities: king bed, excellent shower, full kitchen, even washer and dryer. Outside the entrance is a large patio with a large table and four comfortable chairs for taking your meals. You might consider investing in a mosquito coil to keep the mosquitoes away. ||Beyond the patio is a large green expanse with a gazebo and a private hot tub for Cottage guests only. The gazebo can be used as a meditation room or for massage. Frankly, the whole area is conducive to meditation! ||I should point out that the hosts have recently installed Roku, a streaming service for those wishing to choose from thousands of films and TV programs. Unfortunately, except for Hawaii PBS, local programming isn’t available. Breakfasts are included for guests of the two rooms. The Cottage will feature a starter assortment of juice, fruit, and banana bread from the Four Sisters Bakery.||It didn’t take much time for my wife to say ‘Wow!” In fact, we’ve already reserved for next year.
