Hyland Inn - Motel in Long Beach - 2471 Long Beach Blvd, USA

My stay at the Hyland Inn was the best. Despite the negative reviews the rooms are very updated. The room is very big with a microwave and refrigerator. No pictures on the wall but who needs them. The room was cleaned very well. I would stay here again!

IF YOU ARE A WOMAN OR GROUP OF WOMEN STAY AWAY. Extremely unsafe area of Long Beach. All they did was renovate the inside of the rooms so they could up charge people that are unfamiliar with how bad this area is. Literally watched a group of men have several women workers in and out of their room all night. The room was THE WORST SMELL I HAVE EVER SMELLED IN MY LIFE. It reeked like a dead animal or dead person in a fish market. It was unbearable. I asked for a refund ONE hour after checking in because nothing would cover the smell, they refused and just moved me to another room next to it that smelled as well. It was super late at night so I just dealt with it, considering a refund wasn’t even possible. Just a nasty dirty unsafe place.

I was on my honeymoon and had to rebook something fast with my luggage on the side walk and I came across this looks nice but the people are foreign rude and disturbing I called ahead of time on my reservation I booked with the last of my cash before heading home and I called spoke with a nice lady that said check in is 3 I asked if there was anything she could do for me since I’m on the curb with my stuff and on my honeymoon she said yes if you come at 1:30 that’s the best I do. I arrived there at a quarter to 1 just to check the place out and let them know I arrived planning to return at 1:30 The guy working the WINDOW WANNA BE OFFICE told me no check in is at 3 I tell him no I spoke to his other worker who told me come at this time and he argued with me and said earliest is 2 and then I said she told me 1:30 and basically told me I don’t like it go someplace else did want to talk like an adult foreign and clearly can’t comprehend English because anything I said he took as an insult or sarcasm I believe he was just racist because the lady told me a set time he wanted to argue and I was not having that I explained to him I just needed to check in because I lost my other reservation and he said I refund you I don’t want you here with the way you speak well guess what maybe you don’t belong in the us call it what you want but don’t degrade the way someone speaks if you can’t get up on your English! Caused me to wait 7-10 for a refund to go else where and resulted in ending my honeymoon early to go straight to the airport and actually go home early don’t book this motel there was plenty better along primer home on Long Beach blvd the holiday inn etc. Lowsey manner lowesy people

Place is quite rooms are really nice but never got room service even with the sign out never got the deposit back even though we asked at check out

They stole my money to me. Don't go to that hotel. It's terrible. The man of Indian origin is a rude, rude thief. I don't know why a person like him isn't in prison.

Great stop over inn. Clean rooms and good location

Nice room in a location where you have places to walk and shop. The rooms are very large and have a couch, table for writing and a pleasant background. The bed was comfortable and clean. Cars have a nice parking area and clean on the ground. Good location to get the trains and bus. The rooms are nicely painted. Have microwave and fridge. I would recommend to anyone who needs a nice motel for the price.

The hotel is in a good location, but it is very poorly managed. The bed in the room is horrible, cheap mattress, really horrible. The hotel shower is terrible, the water does not come out so that you can take a good shower, old and damaged shower, cheap and simple to fix, but there is no administration concerned with doing this. The rooms do not have bedside lights next to the bed and there is only the ceiling light and the bathroom light, I had to buy a battery lamp to avoid jeopardizing my stay at this hotel. I stayed for two weeks in this hotel for emergency on my apartment contract and I was surprised by more expensive daily rates the following week, that is, they charged me more because the next week I got 2 days less.
