We enjoyed a couple of nights here to kick off our Hawaii trip. I was initially a bit hesitant to book after reading some other poor reviews about service and quality, but the property exceeded our expectations. The staff was very polite and helpful upon check-in and they left us some chocolates for my birthday. The rooms were also very nice and spacious - we appreciated the modern touches like ample plugs by the bed and very large TV, and thoughtful features like a clothes line in the shower to hang up wet swimsuits. It was also great to have a balcony to step outside. Very convenient to exchange beach towels with the self-service kiosk down by the pool. Great location just across the street from the beach! ||||The Mai Tai at the pool bar was one of the best I had across our entire trip spanning two islands. It was much fresher (and boozier) than anything else I had (which all tasted like a pre-made juice mix). The front desk agent gave us two free drink vouchers when we checked in (a great deal considering they are $17!). ||||We also enjoyed Kai Coffee in the attached shopping center, which was consistently higher quality than most local shops we tried. ||||Drawbacks were the gym is a bit cramped and stuffy, but we didn't plan to spend too much time there anyway. And I found the breakfast buffet to be overpriced ($40/pp) for what they actually offered and compared to other Hyatt Regency properties we've stayed at. Luckily the pool bar serves a decent breakfast!

Perfect location in Waikiki. I stayed in the Ewa tower, and had an ocean front room. I loved having coffee on the balcony every morning. If you want coffee, make sure you hit the Kai Coffee super early before the line starts. The room was clean and comfortable, although I didn't love the tiny square pillows that are flat as a pancake. There are plenty of options for food-I dined at Shor for dinner one night, and sampled the gelato shop more times than I should have. Loved that there was an ABC on the ground floor. You can walk right out of the hotel and the beach is right there. The staff was excellent-just went above and beyond, who I understand are striking right now-give them everything and more! They deserve it! The valet and bellhops and housekeeping were all working hard to make us happy and this honestly was the most beautiful Hyatt I've ever stayed in. Let's give the employees their due.

My family an I incredibly enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort and Spa for our summer vacation. The entire experience at the resort was incredible. The space itself was beautiful and breathtaking. I expect beauty when I come to Hawaii, but the open-air nature of the hotel, decoration and balance between structure and nature was incredible. The property is located across the street from Waikiki, so it is incredibly convenient. The time it took for me to get from my room to the first floor was longer than the time to walk from the resort entrance to the beach. The shops built in the property felt available but not intrusive. We took full advantage of the resort fee and all it had to offer which led to a great daily experience at the beach. The staff were helpful and friendly and looked out for all the guests in an effort to provide a great stay for everybody. The daily free entertainment options were nice and something to which my family looked forward. It was nice not having to spend a fortune in money and time looking for something to do when it was there at our hotel. The breakfast was expensive (as is expected for Waikiki), but the child discount was a pleasant break. While the food selection was not outstanding to the point where I would want to eat there every morning, it was adequate and convenient for our check-out day. The only recommendation I have is to provide a small stool in the room for small kids to reach the lavatory, so they can brush their teeth. Although we could have asked guest services for one, making it available at the time of check-in would have added that one extra touch to make an already great experience better.

My family had two large adjoining rooms. The decor was a little lacking but they had everything we needed. Service was fast and friendly. Location was a tad over 2 miles from Diamond Head. If you wanted shopping from Ross to upscale, it was a nice walk down the sidewalk to the west. If you wanted a nice run along the beach without the hustle bustle, head along the beach to the east toward Diamond Head. The location was really great. I would definitely stay here again. After reading some other reviews, I would add that the self parking is horrendous BUT I’m guessing parking along Waikīkī is generally terrible. We solved it by valet parking for the rest of our stay and it was worth the piece of mind. We had no problem with the towel situation. I was skeptical and made sure to count the towels we took and returned the same number.

Overall a nice hotel in a good location. We stayed in room 2207 EWA tower (2 x Queen ocean view room). Overall the staff were friendly, hotel kept clean and the swim bar / food was nice. The hotel is in good condition, particularly the lobby etc, the rooms are decent (the carpet could be improved but it’s not bad or anything, just old, could also use a paint but again, overall good condition). Location is great, across from the beach & close walk to shops / restaurants. The resort fee include use of towels (collected from a machine so nice and easy), use of beach chairs / boogie boards etc, you can also hire go pros through the resort fee which was great as we forgot ours. Apparently you can also get frozen treats but we didn’t bother (I think just ice blocks). You also get water bottles to keep (which seems like nothing but they are good quality and handy in the summer heat and use on tours). Overall I would stay again, we have been to Hawaii before and I liked this hotel.

As a globalist, getting an upgrade here to a good room is a challenge... But it's Waikiki. It's obviously far from luxury. Room is old and you can see the rust in the bathroom, but the location is phenomenal and the service has been great. The club lounge tables are disgusting between the cracks, but breakfast is acceptable. Their dessert during the afternoon is just a jar of cookie and from 7PM, you can see some pastry desserts.

The views of the beach are absolutely stunning! We were lulled to sleep each night by the gentle sound of the waves outside. Our room was spacious with lots of places to lay out our things. Everything was clean and well taken care of. The center of the hotel had shops, eateries, and a beautiful fountain/waterfall that was the perfect backdrop for my morning coffee. This was a great place to stay with such easy access to the beach.

Constant noise including drums from hotel staff protesting from 6am - 10pm for 2 days straight (so far)|This is across 4 large hotels under the same chain in close proximity so noise is extreme.|Children waking up from sleeps and scared of the noise and people yelling.|Unfortunately we can’t sit out on the balcony in peace or have doors open for fresh air. Hotel guests heavily limited services - no room cleans, linen changes, bins etc. Please treat your workers fairly so your hotel guests and surrounding hotel guests are not impacted on our vacations we have paid good hard earned money for to have a pleasant relaxing experience and end up with the opposite. I’m hoping my low review is seen by management so this can end before our last day here, I can tolerate this for a few days but a whole week would be really disappointing.|Despite all of this, the location is excellent, rooms are spacious, beds are really comfortable. Beautiful uninterrupted views. Good gym. Kai coffee on the ground floor is great. Rooms are nicely dressed and designed. Love the large waterfall in the middle and the weekly markets held downstairs.
