I had the most amazing stay here for my babymoon. We had a little hiccup with WiFi on our first night, but it was something out of anyone’s control. Regardless, the manager Taylor went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. She checked on us on our second day, and went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. The bartender Jenna was fun and witty, and made sure my husband had the wine he enjoyed. The amenities were amazing, the atmosphere was beautiful, but most of all the staff and manager truly cared about our experience. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy this beautiful hotel with our new addition! Great location, plenty to do onsite for kids, adults, and food was excellent!

Don't miss out on eating here, the food is lovely, sometimes they have live music - we saw a jass duo this last visit. Its close to pacifice grove - I drove there for an afternoon walk , lovely! (we were at a west coast swing conference and I just wanted to take a break). its worth mentioning, keep alert at the freeway entrance/ exit. the rooms are not super 'fancy', but very clean.

Wonderful stay! Their Monterey Suite (pictured) has a spacious floor plan with large windows, a separate powder room, large walk in shower in main bathroom, plenty of furniture, comfortable bedding, and very large televisions in both bedroom and parlor. The additional complimentary access to the spa is a wonderful bonus and the hotel’s location means a number of rooms have beautiful golf course views. There are also a number of relaxing on-site amenities such as fire pits, lounge areas, multiple pools, and easy parking. This is an older hotel, but it has been modernized with AC, is clean, and kept in good repair. I’ve never had a maintenance issue at this property, and considering its age that is a compliment to the care of the attentive and friendly staff.

December marked our family trip to Monterey, California, and our stay at this hotel stands out as one of the best. The service, particularly from Sonia and Mckenna, was truly exceptional. Their warmth and welcoming demeanor added a delightful touch to our visit. Despite the absence of a dinner service in the restaurant, our bartender, Sonia, went above and beyond, making our stay memorable with her amazing and sweet service. The entire staff demonstrated kindness and a genuine effort to meet our needs, ensuring we look forward to returning.

The hotel room itself is fairly nice however guests should be aware that the facility itself is spread out in various buildings. The rooms share a hallway that opens up to the outdoors which makes the hallway smell bit musty and strange. The lighting around the property is scarce so guests should be aware there are lots of dark spaces. We did not walk to the gym at dark, we drove and even then there were lots of dark hiding places.

We just checked out of the spyglass suite, and I blame Hyatt corporate for not keeping this place up. The management and staff are doing the best they can. The suite itself was very nice. The lock to the patio is super old. I liked the water bottles they provided for sustainability and all the water stations around. The problem is the physical plant is old. The buildings look tired and worn out. Construction was going on at the pool outside our suite, so that was a disappointment. I see a resort that could be so much better. Lastly, not cool that when you prepay, there’s still about $150 the hotel charges. For what?? We will not be returning. I’m used to the Hyatt brand being more impressive, based on my experiences in the DC area, Chicago, and Seattle.

I went in December for a family trip, and my experience at this hotel was one of the best in Monterey, California. The restaurant was amazing and the service from Sonia and Robert was top tier. They were both so nice and very welcoming and I really enjoyed their service. My family and I will definitely becoming back.

Great location. Very Nice workout room. Beds were comfy. The hotel walls are very thin. I didn’t sleep great. Heard people on the hall and next door.
