Hyatt Regency Jfk Airport At Resorts World New York - Featured Reviews (530)
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency JFK for three days, and unfortunately, my experience was marred by some significant inconveniences that I believe the hotel should address to meet the expectations of its guests.
First and foremost, I was extremely disappointed to find that the hotel does not offer valet parking. This is a basic service that I expected from a hotel of this caliber. Upon arrival, I had to leave my car double-parked and unattended while I rushed inside to leave my luggage at the reception. I then had to quickly return to my car, drive it to the parking area, and walk back to the hotel in the rain—an experience that was both stressful and frustrating. The same ordeal was repeated when I checked out, and while walking is generally good exercise, it’s certainly not convenient when you're forced to do it under adverse weather conditions like rain, intense heat, or strong winds.
Additionally, I was surprised to find that the hotel, which is advertised as a resort, lacked the facilities typically associated with a resort. There were no areas to relax and unwind, such as a spa or any other amenities that could enhance the overall stay beyond just the room itself. This was particularly disappointing as I was looking forward to enjoying some leisure time at the hotel, but there were no options available.
Overall, while the rooms were comfortable, the lack of valet parking and resort-style amenities significantly detracted from my stay. I urge the management to seriously consider adding these essential services to improve the guest experience. For a hotel that is labeled as a resort, it should offer more than just a room—it should provide a place where guests can truly relax and enjoy their stay without unnecessary stress or inconvenience.
I stayed at the Hyatt Regency JFK for a single night this past weekend, I will not come back again.
The hotel itself looks fantastic, and the rooms are modern, clean, and really beautiful as well. Furthermore, the hotel's proximity to the airport is definitely a top selling point, but that's where the positivity ends. Unfortunately, the service and value for the money that you need to pay to stay at the Hyatt Regency JFK just isn't up to par.
The doorman, Mohammad, was incredibly polite and took care of me when I arrived. However, upon entering the room I was shocked to discover that it had barely any basic amenities. I had to call down to the front desk several times for some of the most basic items that should have been included in the hotel room such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, a comb, hand soap, lotion, tissues, robes, and slippers. There wasn't even a pad of paper in the room.
Honestly, for $300 plus dollars a night this is absolutely unacceptable. The cherry on top was that there was no breakfast included in the cost of the room as well, but for $25 you could get a bare basic breakfast adjacent to the first floor lobby. They also had a coffee shop where you could purchase a coffee for the incredibly low price of $7 a cup.
Never in my life have I visited a four-star hotel with such poor service and with so few amenities. The hourly hotels in Chinatown honestly offer more.
If you're in the area, I greatly encourage you to look for other options unless you can stay here for free as a perk of visiting the casino.
Despite the name, this hotel is NOT AT nor very near to JFK airport. In fact, there is not even a hotel shuttle - you are in your own to take a taxi or the subway (you and your family who just arrived on an overseas flight with suitcases). The Queens neighborhood is not especially safe (no concerns at the hotel itself).
The hotel appears recently refurbished as of summer 2024. Room was ample, comfy and quiet. Prices, like the rest of the city are high.
Breakfast cost what I normally pay for dinner, but it offered a generous buffet. For instance the coffee machine is a $15k screen-selection espresso machine.
Front desk was a bit slow, a bit informal, probably has to deal with some strange and unexpected sights, but they were happy to share a laugh when I joked around. The hotel is attached to a large casino. When we arrived, things were quiet. Your luck may vary.
Cannot recommend but I don't know if there are any better options.
We had a fantastic one night stay for a flight out of JFK. We are globalist so upgraded to a massive suite with two bathrooms and separate living space. The hotel is really new and rooms were spacious, modern and comfortable. The regency lounge is pretty decent, we just had breakfast there. It is next to the casino so that was our only complaint, the noise. We heard random car music and commotion all night
Lovely hotel. Modern, great location for airport travel. Rooms are spacious, clean & modern. Hotel staff are friendly. The hotel also has a casino, food places (including Sugar Factory) and Starbucks in the lobby. Would definitely return.
Traveling from Manhattan and had to take a bus to get here. Not a fan of that. But everything about this hotel- other than location- is better than the Hyatt ny Grand Central Station. Staff is friendlier, rooms are more spacious and better stocked, and the amenities are just better. (might still be salty the GCS Hyatt wanted to charge me 50$ for renting a coffee pot for my room)
Excellent check in and out. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Not far from JFK and we stayed here last year for just one night before flying out last year so decided to do the same this year. Rooms are nice and new with comfortable furnishings. Also a few restaurants there attached. Would recommend
Due to the cancellation of a flight at Newark Airport On ,August 1, 2024 and finding a flight the next day at Kennedy Airport, I had to take another night at the hotel and chose the Heights Regency.
I booked the most
expensive room offered on the hotel's website .1 King Bed City View+ Breakfast ,It cost me including taxes, $444.15
I was given, without being told in advance, a room (807) with connecting doors to the room next to me(809). I had to get up at 6 am in the morning , It was after 10 pm .the guests in the room next to me, their television was very loud. and later to night I heard them talking very clear and loud I complained several times to the hotel staff ;and they even offered me a change of room, but I was so tired that my flight was canceled and it was already after midnight. And I didn't have the energy to move to another room,
In short, I didn't sleep all night, I asked for compensation in the morning from the hotel front desk Receptionist , and I was told to write to them. In the end, it was a bad experience with the sound insulation between the rooms, even in the corridor you can hear the conversations of the guests. Be aware of this.
