My stay at the Hyatt in Buffalo was outstanding. The staff are mature, professional, and incredibly well-trained, demonstrating a deep understanding of hospitality and the needs of their guests. Their dignified and attentive approach made every interaction a pleasure. The rooms were spacious and thoughtfully equipped with several amenities, including makeup wipes, a razor, a toothbrush holder, quality tissues, a fridge, and a fully stocked coffee bar. It’s clear the hotel goes the extra mile to make guests feel comfortable. Located within walking distance of the waterfront, the hotel offers beautiful views all around. The security was top-notch, making me feel completely safe throughout my stay. Hyatt Buffalo truly delivers an exceptional experience in every way—highly recommended!

Spent one night only, thank goodness, at this property. Arrived to find the valet jammed up and dozens of cars parked all over the hotel drive/entrance. The valet was nowhere to be seen and there were not enough attendants (seems a one man operation) so we had to park across the street and drag our luggage up to the hotel. No bellman either. ||Arrived to the Huron suite to find the most stained carpeting I have ever seen anywhere in my life. Of the two bathrooms, only one had a stopper for the bathtub. Of the two rooms, one iron did not heat and leaked water and the second one has the front tip of the iron broken off so it was difficult to use. Debris could be seen under the Murphy bed. ||The real show started at night. It was a beautiful day so we enjoyed watching the sunset over the lake only to discover that at dusk, dozens of large spiders descended onto the outside of every window (the entire suite is surrounded by windows). This is some horror movie stuff. I would hate to see helpful creatures harmed so I was hesitant to write about it but if you want a peaceful sleep and don’t want to have nightmares about spiders, do not look out the windows at dusk or after dark. ||Breakfast was only a small buffet, something you would see at a Hampton Inn, but smaller. It was entirely unappealing so we left without breakfast. ||The hotel needs work. Staff seemed pleasant but would not stay here again.

The lobby, bar, and restaurant areas are standard. The bartenders are great. ||The rooms are below standard, especially for a Hyatt property. I was expecting a certain level of cleanliness and more modern accommodations. Wallpaper is peeling and the carpets were stained in multiple rooms I visited. A lightbulb was missing from one of my bedside lamps. The a/c was barely cool, even on the lowest setting. The door to the mini fridge was loose. The pool area was DISGUSTING with clumps of hair everywhere and mildew or dirt clusters literally rolling around the bottom of the pool like tumbleweed. ||Also, I’m not sure what can be done by exterminators, but something has to be done about the spiders outside and between the window panes. We didn’t want to open the curtains because it was like a horror movie.||This hotel has so much potential given its size and offerings but it falls so, so short with maintenance and cleanliness. Let's not get into the parking. Multiple people were on line at check-out with complaints and getting fee refunds. Park on the street (ample options) or splurge on valet if you're going to pay at all.

Apart from the location of this hotel, it was totally run down. Rooms were dusty. And no fresh-air fan in the bathroom. After every bath, the room will look like a steam room. Worst part is they don't have a parking area. That should have been informed earlier. They charge $30 per night to park in a garage which is a couple of blocks away.

Stayed with my son's team for a hockey tournament. Our room was disgusting. The tub and sink both wouldn't drain; the front desk had to send an "engineer" to fix. They worked on it, said it was fixed but it remained clogged. They came up a 2nd time and it remained clogged again. Left dirty sink drain water on the bathroom floor. The AC also didn't work but they were able to fix that. Housekeeping left the previous occupants' dirty washcloths in the shower and only left 2 towels for a room with 2 double beds. Never cleaned our room even when asked. Multiple people in our group said they didn't have hot water at all. I thought we had escaped that one, but alas on night 3, we had no hot water for showers. The rooms and hallways smell like mold and the carpet feels damp. At least the beds looked clean. God knows when the blankets were last washed. Finally- we paid a lot to stay in this dump and then have to pay $25 a day to park?! Won't be back.

Hotel staff couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. We arrived late (9pm) and told that they had overbooked the double rooms due to weddings and hockey tournaments. Instead of downgrading us, they gave us TWO executive king rooms w/ connecting door! The rooms were great! Spacious, comfortable bed, nice amenities. I will definitely be booking here again if coming back to buffalo!

I was very worried after reading the reviews what we had in store for us. This location has been amazing! The woman who greeted us was amazing. Check in was seamless. Loby is beautiful and access to the city is unmatched. Valet was easy to use, available and was only 29 dollars. The room could use some updates, but the bed was amazing, and everything was very clean! We will be back! Thank you!

While this is definitely an older Hyatt property, I still had a great stay here. I was upgraded on arrival as a Discoverist (which I appreciate). Absolutely fantastic view from my room on the 11th floor. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. My room was in pretty good condition and the bed was super comfortable. The hotel is centrally located downtown and within walking distance to a bunch of restaurants and bars. It's also very close to a train station. The Starbucks in the lobby was a great alternative to the buffet breakfast. Instead of using hotel parking, I self-parked in a nearby garage for $12 overnight, where I was also able to plug in my car and charge it. Now, a couple minor negatives. The air conditioning definitely isn't the best, but it did keep the room cool enough that I can't really complain. The drainage in my showers wasn't that great, I found myself standing in a puddle during my shower. One of the elevators was broken so I did have to wait longer than usual for those. Again, these were minor issues and I would still stay here again.
