Hyatt Place Lake Mary/Orlando-North - Hotel in Lake Mary - 1255 S International Pkwy, USA

The location is ideally located off of Rt 4. The pool is nice. Not too big and not full of screaming kids. The hotel was clean. The beds and pillows are comfy. The rooms are large. The price is reasonable.

We arrived early on Our check in date. I fully understand that there are check in times. We asked if there was a room available. She said yes but they would need to charge us $25 for early check in. No thank you. I will always ask a hotel if they do this. Unacceptable. We got to our room. It was relatively clean. No bad smells. The carpet had some horrible stains. I would think if it were my hotel I would have carpets cleaned. Then our toilet broke. My husband told front desk. Then at checkout we mentioned again our toilet was broke. He acted like we never told him and the response was "I have no one from maintenance here right now." We had to go out to bathroom in the lobby. Then he asked if they were going to do something for us for not having a working bathroom. He said there was no manager until later and gave us her card. So needless to say, we will never stay at this location or probably any Hyatt ever again. One positive is they have happy hour from 4-7 which we were not there for.

Stayed here for a weekend business trip. The hotel is very clean and well kept. When I arrived I was greeted by Theresa. She was very helpful and a joy to speak with. The rooms are large and comfortable. I would definitely book here again.

The hotel is very clean and well maintained, like you expect at a Hyatt. The staff was very friendly and helpful. In March 2024 they had Happy Hour with $7 drink with Gray Goose! The price for rooms is reasonable too. Also can't beat the location.

This is a typical older Hyatt Place that is a few years overdue for an exhaustive renovation.||||My room was clean, but basic and just overall tired. The only thing that felt updated was the Samsung TV from 2018 -- 6 years ago.||||No USB outlets by the bed. The only accessible electrical outlets on either side of the bed were just off the floor. Most hotels built or renovated in the last 10 years have bed-level outlets on a nightstand.||||Furniture featured a considerable amount of wear-and-tear; think scuffs, scratches, etc.||||In the bathroom, there was mold or mildew along the sliding door.||||Like other Hyatt Places of this era, the designer should be fired and never allowed to design another hotel because the bathrooms are awful. There is almost zero space between the toilet and walk-in shower. It's quite possibly the worst design in purpose-built hotels that I've ever seen. I've stayed in historic buildings that were built before indoor plumbing that managed to have better designed bathrooms with more space. The lighting in the bathroom is also awful. ||||In terms of toiletries, the individual bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash have been replaced with a wall-mounted dispenser in the walk-in shower. A single bar of soap at the sink was provided. No body lotion and no mouthwash were provided.||||And like other Hyatt Places without a real restaurant, the free breakfast is awful. You're better off finding a McDonald's or Starbucks.||||Supposedly, there is food at night but I saw no evidence that the kitchen was operational. It was never promoted. The bar is, however, open for drinks. ||||What made the hotel, however, were the staff. The younger ladies working the Front Desk the night I arrived were awesome. Polite and professional. ||||Another good part of the hotel is the pool. It wouldn't be a bad place to spend a warm sunny afternoon.||||On the whole, the Hyatt Place is okay to spend the night but would be boring after more than a day. Hopefully, it will be renovated soon.

This was the closest hotel to the Sanford airport we could find with a pool within about a 10-day window. Unfortunately the pool was packed with unattended kids splashing and about six or seven kids in the hot tub while the parents chatted at tables. There was also some sort of sports team tournament for kids around age 10 and the lobby was filled with screaming kids and their chaperones did nothing to calm them down or make them be quiet. We didn't stay for the breakfast since we had an early flight. If you wanted coffee in the evening you had to pay for it at the bar and it was espresso based. The bar is open until midnight. I was able to print my boarding passes from one of their two computers in the lobby and then I retrieved them from the front desk associates.

We were not greeted upon arriving. Someone was just standing at the front desk busy with something. Staff was nice enough but guests should not have to stand there waiting to make eye contact. Pool not heated, breakfast meh, room very dated with dirty carpets, bathroom so small that you have to lean against the bathtub to shut the door. Would never stay here again.
