Very nice hotel within walking distance to many good restaurants and bars. Our room was nice but with a tiny bathroom. They put the vanity outside the bathroom so one person can shower while the other shaved or did make up etc. But this made the actual bathroom tiny. I could barely close the door. Breakfast was decent. The sausages were excellent. Staff was very nice.
Stayed here for one night over Labor Day weekend. We arrived in the morning but were informed they were sold out that night as well as the night before, so our chances of checking In early were slim. We went back around 4 (an hour after the 3pm check in time) and the room was still not ready. After making a little fuss the room was ready a few minutes later, but not having our room ready by check in time was unacceptable. If you know you’re sold out have extra staff on hand to get the rooms ready. ||As others mentioned - the location is amazing. You’re right in the middle of everything. The rooms are very dated. Mattresses are old, sinks are in the sleeping area, peeling wallpaper, the air conditioners are incredibly old and loud. The worst part is the smell though - the rooms smell gross - one of the pillows smelled so bad I had to remove it from the bed. The rooms smell moldy, old, etc.. ||The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful, and it certainly wasn’t their fault the room wasn’t ready on time or the rooms were dated. No recognition of status with Hyatt at checkin or any of the perks that should come with it, but overall they were extremely polite and helpful. ||5 stars for location. 1 star for the room. 3 stars overall because the staff was very nice and you could tell they were overwhelmed and didn’t have enough help to support them. ||Would stay elsewhere next time unless they update the rooms.
Very nice hotel within walking distance to good restaurants and bars. The free breakfast is decent. The sausages were excellent. The staff was very nice. Our bathroom was tiny. I could barely close the door. They put the vanity outside so someone can shower while another person can shave or do makeup. But this makes the bathroom tiny. The twice daily cattle drives happen very close to the hotel. I could even see it from my window on the 4th floor.
Great hotel and great location! We loved that we didn’t have to drive anywhere and that there was always hotel parking if we did leave the stockyards and come back. The location was great to be able to pop back into our room for breaks for the triple digit heat. Will stay here again if we ever go back to the stockyards. The staff was very friendly and always helpful!
I decided to surprise my husband for his first Father's Day celebration by visiting this charming small town, as we are new to Texas. I chose the Hyatt for its perfect location. Although we arrived a bit early and our room wasn't ready, the staff kindly texted us as soon as it was available, allowing us to freshen up—a relief given the hot weather that weekend. The check-in and check-out processes were quick and efficient.
The location is ideal, and the cleanliness of the bathroom and the entire room was outstanding. Kudos to the cleaning staff for their excellent work. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.
The best parts of the hotel was the staff, beds, and locations. Everything was just very average. It wasn’t noisy and the beds were comfy, so I was grateful for my goodnight sleep.
Great stay! Location was perfect for checking out the stockyards! Tons of restaurants within walking distance. Rodeo was literally right across road! Will stay again!
Facilities were extremely clean and well taken care. Unfortunately, the bath towels were very old and hard and scratchy. The elevators were malfunctioning. The mattresses are either very cheap or very dated—i jiggled at every move my husband made while sharing the bed. They need to give hard consideration to a better quality mattresses—seriously!! They need to have better/newer/fluffly bath towels than that for the rate we paid. What a shame! Location was very convenient for shopping and dining options.
