Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port & Convention Center - Featured Reviews (1068)
Stayed here after a cruise and wow! Wish I would have stayed here before the cruise too! The pricing and the room size cannot be beat. Super comfy beds and great shower pressure. Front desk checked in to see if we needed anything after getting settled. Best hotel pool. The breakfast was delicious and so great to be included. Will most certainly be staying here for our cruises now! Resort level care with better prices
We had a great 3 night stay at this Hyatt Place. The rooms were spacious and the cleaning crew refreshed our room daily. LOTS of families in transit for the cruises, so if you're looking for something more subtle and chill, this might not be a great fit. But parking was easy, lots of shops and restaurants in the area. Staff was fantastic and helpful.
We were going on a cruise and decided to stay the night before to avoid the stress of driving in the morning. We found this hotel which offered a package for staying the night, free breakfast, parking our car while we were gone and shuttle service to the cruise port. This was the best decision we made. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The girl at the desk knew exactly which cruise ships were sailing out the next day. The free breakfast had a great variety of hot and cold choices, including bacon and eggs. The shuttle service was organized and took us to and from the cruise port with very little wait time. You could tell that this hotel is set up to specialize in serving the cruise and airport clientel. Everything was very easy, stress-free, and we felt like our vacation began the minute we arrived at the hotel. Would definitely recommend and plan to use this hotel for future cruises.
**Note: shuttle service TO the cruise port is free. Returning from the cruise is NOT included in the package and costs $9- totally worth it, though. We called the number on the business card to request pickup, and they arrived within minutes.
Also, the package includes 7 nights of parking. You can add additional days for just $7. (parking at the port is $20- again, worth it).
Sue is so sweet! Check in was a breeze. We arrived super late and her customer service made us smile and after a long drive it was nice to see a smiling face. Room is a great value and breakfast was really good.
The hotel was perfectly situated for our 1 night stay before getting on a cruise at Port Everglades. The hotel was okay but 2 things stood out as a negative:||1 - the rooms are very much in need of updating. Old and stained furniture with very scratches and dings on all of the furniture and doors. ||2- the food at the breakfast buffet was, let's just say "meh", powdered eggs and hard french toast sticks. Fruit and bread selection was good, so not all was terrible.||||At any other hotel chain this wouldn't be so bad but for Hyatt this was disappointing.
Not very impressed. Dated rooms, carpet was getting a lil dingy, slow elevators, poor selection at breakfast and very salty eggs multiple days, the fan in our bathroom didn't work, and we saw many other people having issues with their rooms. Staff were pleasant and there weren't bedbugs but no need to come here again
We had 4 rooms for our cruise and everything was perfect. The staff was nice, pleasant and very helpful. The rooms were like all Hyatt Place's but a bit worn with age. The breakfast was filling and good. We liked they have staplers and tape for luggage tags, if needed at the main doors. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and the port is 5 minutes away. Finally, we parked 3 cars here for our 6 night cruise without problems. Would do it again!
I have stayed here before for business and would again for any reason.
Hotel is average. We stay here before a cruise as we like the Publix within walking distance and several restaurants. Hotel is looking shabby and needs redoing but rooms are clean. The pool and free breakfast are nice. Also, like the transportation to port(fee). We have stayed here about 4 times. What we don’t like is the price gouging! We usually pay about $170 a night. When there is an event they raise price significantly. In October, Taylor Swift is in MIAMI and their prices are averaging $375 - 450 a night, which is way more than this place is worth. We are staying at a popular hotel that does not gouge their customers in October.
