Pleasant, clean, and quiet. Big bed, water if your a member and nice selection for breakfast spread. I had a 2 night stay I had read reviews about not receiving housekeeping service so I made sure to stop by the desk to request it. When I go back to room my waters and coffee were restocked and even my coffee mugs were cleaned and replaced. Exceptional service. I will be back.
This was our 4th or 5th stay at this property. Florence, SC is an ideal location to stay the night when traveling from FL to NY/NJ/CT, and I'm loyal to the Hyatt brand so it's a no-brainer for us. The hotel is fairly new and very clean. It's located downtown but not too far off route 95. I'm grateful that this Hyatt Place is dog friendly, and quite frankly we're happy to pay the $75 dog fee even though it's just for 1 night. It's worth it to stay at a nice, comfortable hotel and get a good night's sleep during the long drive. On this particular trip we had some serious traffic delays and arrived late (10:30pm). Dan at the bar was extremely welcoming/friendly and made sure the kitchen could accommodate us to get a little meal. Everything else in the immediate downtown area was closed at that hour on a Monday, so we were incredibly grateful. It was nice to sit at the bar, decompress, enjoy a glass of wine, and chat with Dan for a bit while we waited for our food. Dan is an asset to this property, and I hope he's recognized for his outstanding hospitality. Don't hesitate to stay here.
The hotel lobby, lounge, work and breakfast areas are very nice. Typical for the chain. Room was fine, clean, maybe a little smaller than at some Hyatt Place locations but fine for our needs. Comfortable beds. Florence is a pretty little town.|We did have a problem. The water never got hot. When I called the desk to report, I pretty much got a verbal shrug. They'd had at least one other call and clerk said she would report to maintenance but after a long day of driving and tense muscles I had to take a tepid shower. And, as we had difficulty getting the room warmed up--AC was set at 68* and blasting cold air when we arrived--I was quite chilled. Partner skipped a shower altogether. Breakfast was fine, typical for the chain. Fresh fruit. But the coffee service disappeared promptly at 9:30 so several guests were wandering around at 9:35 trying to get a coffee to hit the road with. Front desk had no solution. Another shrug.|All in all, while not a disaster, I doubt we'd go out of the way to stay here again.
I stayed at the Hyatt Friday night on a trip to visit family & this hotel is just what I expected. They have a bar/restaurant open until 11 and also free breakfast. There were some really rude guest who were complaining about food But I literally watch the breakfast attendant be as nice as she could being as the rude woman already had 3 plates and was upset about grits being out. The lady nicely got her more without a fuss. The whole time I could here her complaining while sitting with her group eating. I honestly felt bad. They were super busy the food was Cooked to excellence and my room was squeaky clean. I made sure to tip the housekeeper an the breakfast server. My stay was great even though the other guest were rude. I will be back. Maybe on a slower day though.
We were in town because family members were in a nearby hospital after a serious traffic accident. We chose this hotel because it's close to the hospital, and were pleased with the complimentary breakfast options (including a variety of teas, non-dairy milks, and both hot and cold breakfast items), the rooms are very nice and the beds were very comfortable. The lobby has a variety of small group seating areas as well as a dining area for breakfast and a bar that's open in the evenings. There are two 15-minute parking areas to unload your vehicle after check-in, then you will need to move to a parking area that's less than half a block away (card key entry, ample spaces, and well-lit). This location would definitely be at the top of my list if I needed to book again in Florence.
The rooms are great and staff is friendly. The location downtown is in a good/central to everything. They have a modern decor. Parking is across the street and behind another building. Arrived for breakfast at 8:30, the eggs were cold and they were out of bacon and coffee.
Returning from a month in Canada with Family and three long days on the train, the Hyatt is just a few blocks from the AMTRAK Station and with a comfortable room and bed for me to CRASH for the night. My housemate drove in from Clio to spend the night together and drive me home in the AM. He enjoyed the breakfast that I slept through and drove me home after almost 12 hours of the sleep of the dead which I enjoyed!!!
We stay with Hyatt Place on both legs of drive to FL and they are always our favorite. Super friendly staff, good service & food & drinks! Pet friendly is our most important. Local restaurants are amazing- finally tried the agave Mexican and it was fantastic! Free secure parking too.
