Hyatt Place Fairbanks - Hotel in Fairbanks - 400 Merhar Ave, USA

Nice hotel, great staff, not just front desk, but cleaning staff was also friendly, good breakfast spread. Comfortable beds, huge rooms (even double queen beds). Clean rooms. Over all great experience. The lost of star is for the pool, the water was warm (which was nice) the picture on the website doesn't match pool reality. The stairs had cracks and the floor could use a good scrub so it looked dirty (though it wasnt). Basically the pool area could use a remodel/small fixes. Big plus would be adding a hot tub.

This basic Hyatt is clean, well located, and a good stop for your Fairbanks visit. Everything went well here. The reception team was friendly and helpful. The room is clean and very good sized. The lobby bar was well stocked and the barman a did a great job. The hotel is located near some basic restaurants, fast food and plenty of shopping. I would return.

This is a great hotel to use as a home base for visiting Fairbanks and surrounding areas. Very clean and comfortable rooms! If you want to have the window open, it can get noisy since the hotel is next to the expressway but it wasn't too bad.

This hotel is primarily for cruise passengers taking the train or bus to other locations. They probably have contract that supplies a steady business so there is less focus on independent's like us. They are pretty lax on details and quality control. And way over-priced for what you get.

The location is great, close to shopping and some quick bites, easy access to freeway. They have shuttle to airport and train depot which is great though we didn't use it. The breakfast is okay. There were some (4) hot items, and oatmeal and tortilla. There were oranges and bananas, which is great. The service crew for breakfast did a great job restocking and cleaning. The main concern is that the building lacks proper sound proof. I assume my upstairs neighbor was going aurora watching every night, since I can hear them walking and leaving after midnight... My room had wood floors which was very clean but it didn't help damping the noise. We also had a static problem in the hotel and every press on the elevator button, door handle etc will give us a shock.

Couldn't ask for better service from staff. The management and staff were very accommodating, went over and above to assist me in my needs. The room was very comfortable and clean. Although they do offer a small restaurant menu, that is the only thing I would make a change to. The location as far as view, not very good but was convenient to other services needed. If and when I travel again, will stay at Hyatt.||

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Place, Fairbanks for a work trip. The staff at check in was very friendly, but the room was lacking simple amenities like multiple outlets near the bed for plugging in chargers, the alarm clock, etc. ||||I do believe this is the only hotel I’ve ever been in that used extension cords. The desk area also lacked sufficient outlets. I had to unplug the coffee maker or the desk lamp to plug in my laptop charger. ||||The hotel was cleaner than many other similar hotels, but seemed overpriced for the quality of service.

The rooms are clean and spacious. The food and staff are exceptional. The common areas encourage conversation with other guests. A very nice place to stay.
