Hyatt Place Emeryville/San Francisco Bay Area - Hotel in Emeryville - 5700 Bay St, USA

This property is very updated and clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. While I prefer daily housekeeping I did not request any additional service so I can't rate the responsiveness of the cleaning staff. My only slightly negative comment would be the limited handicap parking immediately onsite but we only had to park in the adjacent garage once in three nights. Overall this property is much nicer than the Hilton Garden Inn and I will definitely return to the Hyatt Place on my next trip to the Bay Area.

This was a surprising great hotel. Due to the affordable rate, I was not expecting too much, but it turned out to be an excellent all around experience. The location was convenient with lots of restaurants, shopping, and public transportation. The facility was in super good condition. The parking price was very low compared to staying in the middle of the city. The bonus was the great view of the Bay I had from my room. I had a high floor so I easily able to see over the outlet stores. Also, the staff was great. Definitely staying here again.

Breakfast was delicious and had a ton of choices for someone looking to have a healthy low carb breakfast. Scrambled eggs were delicious, hard boiled eggs, fresh berries, steel cut oatmeal with a lot of toppings to choose from. A ton of other choices but I didn't look too closely because I didn't want to be tempted. I will admit that the bacon was yummy and crisp. ||Excellent customer service displayed by all staff on the phone and in person, and a shout out to the maintenance worker named Juan who dealt very kindly with my attempts to communicate with my very limited Spanish.||Water in the lobby is a nice touch.||Room was clean and comfortable. There is a Trader Joe's two blocks away and a whole shopping center behind that - very walkable and convenient if you are stocking up for an Amtrak train ride. The train station is less than a 10 minute walk, right on the other side of the Hyatt House across the street from this Hyatt Place, and seemed very safe when we walked over at 7:00 am, although there are several flights of stairs to get across the overpass, so be careful caryying too much luggage.||Overall a great experience and we would definitely stay here again.

It's not a Hyatt. It's Hyatt Place. So be aware that the housekeeping and service is commensurate to that. Cleaning every other day unless you pay extra and apparently that doesn't include changing sheets, but you can get fresh towels and they vacuum. No way to contact them though as the phone in the room comes with no instructions and the front desk clerk has no real idea how to work them.|Bartender is new and I was told by front desk that there is only one. The poor guy walked into a nearly empty bar supply. No Titos. No way to make their "specialty cocktails" (guy next to me ordered a Mai Tai and was directed to a can of Cutwaters lol) So....if it's the one bartender's day off, and it is Saturday, you will get a shoulder shrug from the front desk clerk and no glass of wine. Or french fries either as apparently the bartender is also the cook.|Otherwise? Clean hotel. Typical but filling breakfast. Amazingly situated right at the Emeryville hub, with several restaurants, stores, and a movie theater within walking distance and in the other direction...a wonderful food court with very nice selections. Hotels all around. About a $30 uber to UC Berkeley. $60 to SFO.|Friendly desk clerks, but the managers need to step it up and give some training all around to the poor staff who are left holding the bag at night.

I expected so much more from a Hyatt Brand. I had never experienced such low service. I was treated with less than courteous, world class service. Front staff and Mgmt are less than communicative for issues that are minor in resolve. Nor will they return your calls or emails. I have lost trust for this particular location. Def not the highlight of my trip. If I ever travel on business to this area, I will choose a different brand hotel for lodging, perhaps one that treats their loyal guests with good service, plain and simple.

Very good staff in this hotel. I have stayed here 2 times now and had good experience both times. Enough parking, nice location. Our son is going to UC Berkeley and this is a good place to stay for that purpose.

Complimentary breakfast is very good. Service is stellar. Bedding is exemplary minus the sofa bed. Parking is skilled challenge, not for the fainted heart. Location is nice. Amenities are above average. Room is clean and quiet.

The building and location are good. Rooms are clean. But a couple of outdated things which I thought was surprising, because the place doesn't look old. The in-room TV could use an upgrade, and the shower head was lame. But other than that, very nice.
