Hyatt Place Daytona Beach - Oceanfront - Hotel in Daytona Beach Shores - 3161 S Atlantic Ave, USA

Everything about the hotel that I saw was clean and up to date. Check in was simple and the staff attentive. The rooms are welcoming and a pleasant experience to hang out in. The balcony is large enough to enjoy and the ocean view is exciting. Breakfast gives good selection and the coffee is fresh and tasty .The water pressure in the shower is good and the towels are large and smell nice.

Hyatt Discount: I forgot write my review!! Although I am an employee of Hyatt Regency I will always be honest. The stay was nice. Only thing I can say is that my room felt damp and water not sure But it could have been just the air conditioner. We had ocean front beach but we were not able to access beach due to reconstruction from previous Hurricane and we were advised before arrival!! We were advised we could use pool down at Residence Inn Marriott. No complaints there. The staff was extremely nice!!! And the food was on point. I can't remember names but the staff I came across all did great thank you.

Booked this hotel last minute hoping to end the year, and start the new one with amazing views of the ocean. They did not disappoint at all. Upon check-in, I let the front desk employee know that I was looking for an amazing view after a really tough year and she gave us an incredible room. she was super kind and over all a great attitude.

Listen, it’s a hotel in Daytona Beach so it’s only going to be so nice. To start with the good, the hotel is located right on the beach and our room had a nice ocean view. The reception and service was also pretty nice and straight forward. And parking was free which was a big plus. Okay now the bad. Shower pressure was abysmal. Like barely dripped out of the shower head and takes 20 minutes to take a short shower. There was also hair in the shower and the floor of the shower was dirty. There was a black stain of something on the closet that was never cleaned. The bed sheets were not the cleanest. Breakfast was also a bit of a mess with many more people in the hotel than could be accommodated by the small lobby. Seemed understaffed and was impossible to find a table to yourself. That said, still 3 stars because if you’re expecting the Ritz Carlton in Daytona Beach it’s on you not them. Hotel was meh but worth it for a sub $100 stay.

I thought highly of Hyatt properties thought it was an upscale hotel but after staying here it has old and outdated rooms carpet is dirty and dingy. The couch had stains on the cushions and the walls where dirty with stains as well. The night staff often was not at the desk they where on there cell phone or eating. They did not have answers or could answer simple questions regarding things at there hotel. The view was amazing from the balcony and was in a great location.

Water was cold, toilet took forever to fill, carpet was dirty. Someone came to look at the shower and we were told to let it run as a solution. It didn't fix the problem. The person that came did ask the next day if it got better( it did not). I feel like the hotel didn't care to fix the problem since they already collected their money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The room was not clean!!! There was toilet paper on the floor and there were no new rolls of toilet paper. Additionally, there weren't enough towels in the washroom. The phone had some sticky substance all over it. Also, there was only 1 person in the lobby working and she was doing check ins and the bartending. I definitely would never stay here again.

We were upgraded thankfully to one of the nicest rooms because of our points and the fact that the hotel still didn’t have beach access, chairs, a pool or spa though the hurricane damage came Nov & Dec 2022. We knew of the status of the damage but chose to stay there for other reasons. We’ve been very loyal customers since 2008 and earlier. We have stayed at this Hyatt hotel many times in the past. This time we felt that we were staying at a Motel 6 or LaQuinta. This coupled with our past few experiences with Hyatt in other places have been very disappointing. It feels as if Hyatt in general has taken a big step backwards. It’s noticeable. If we were in the third world and stayed we may be somewhat impressed but that is not the case. Same location same hotels and resorts but very different look and feel.
