Hyatt Place Bloomington/Normal - Featured Reviews (737)
Everything was just about perfect. Clean, quiet, comfortable room. Helpful, friendly staff. Parking in the garage made the luggage walk a bit difficult but manageable and helped keep the car cooler in the shade at least. Breakfast hours were 6:30a-9:30a; so we didn’t have the opportunity to try it, unfortunately. Pool was pretty typical but could be crowded if a couple families enter at the same time. Nothing odd about our stay, though. Our room was as it appeared in the photos.
Very nice place. Great place to stay when you have kids that go to ISU. Rooms are clean, staff was very friendly, parking was close and covered, and the location is very near the campus and the housing. The continental breakfast was not bad, but it used to be great, that is the only flaw that I see with this Hyatt. I feel like there used to be more choices. Overall, I really like this place and we will stay here again.
This is a great hotel if you need to be near Illinois State. The lobby is spacious and clean. The breakfast was not bad. I especially appreciated that they had oat milk readily available for those who are lactose-intolerant and vegan. The front desk person who checked us in was very nice while still be very much a "by the book" person. The room was also nice. I just wish that there was a window shade that still let light in. The only option was the black-out shade or none.
Stayed here for a whole entire week and hated every second. Room service was nonexistent. Not once did they come into my room. I had to go and beg for new towels. The pool was horrible. Smells like pure chlorine. That smell doesn’t ventilate out and it smells toxic. Breakfast was cold, waffles had no syrup, and the oatmeal was just flooded with water. Everything in this place is outdated and just seems old. It does not give Hyatt vibes… I truly felt like I was staying at a motel especially since for the 7 day stay I had absolutely no room service!!!!
The two missing stars in my review are because of the lack of service at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and cordial but it took me 3 phone calls to get conditioner, when housekeeping should have replaced the empty bottle before I checked in. The rooms, breakfast area, pool and gym were great! Food was very delicious and diverse. But simple things like water jugs were empty, cups were never replaced and breakfast wasn’t being refilled even though employees are there - staff should be reminded to be more proactive. Location was great- in uptown next to the university and train station. Plus great restaurants all walking distance away.
I was in Normal for bit of a vacation weekend away from home. My partner and I arrived, checked in, parked the car (for free!!), and then headed out on foot to the Constitution Trail. We walked to dinner, about 2.5 miles away. We had a lovely dinner at Destihl (the restaurant), and then walked back towards the hotel. Once we got back we stopped in to one of the many options footsteps from the hotel for a nightcap. Slept in only late enough to still get breakfast at the hotel, and then just lazed around all day. Lunch uptown and then back to the trail for dinner again. Can't recommend a nearly car-free visit to Normal enough. Hoping to come back with friends sometime soon!
The hotel is centrally located, the property is new and well maintained, and the staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast exceeded our expectation. That's all we need for an overnight stay.
Welcoming, comfortable, clean and friendly staff. I had a great feeling staying in this facility. I hope to stay there in the future, as my daughter will be attending ISU near by.
Good location. Quiet. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Nice room setup with microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator. Warm indoor pool. Smelled and looked clean. Staff friendly. Easy parking. Would be fantastic if there were a jacuzzi by the
The Bloomington-Normal hotel was the best Hampton Inn in which I have stayed. The place was spotless. Very attentive staff. A nice, conveniently setup room (in the 2 queen beds room). Looked very much the part of a more expensive hotel. I came in
This hotel allows pets in every room. Not good if you have allergies. No housekeeping if you stay more than 1 night. Location of hotel great, but remodeling needed. Also, towel shortage issue when we were there, and it wasn't overly crowded. Front
Dr. Matter is so unbelievably caring, thorough and as present as possible. He always explains everything and listens to any concerns. I think this doctor office may be the nicest and most attentive doctor office I have EVER been too. The environment
My wife and I have been members for 2 years. Facility is always clean and the staff is friendly. Price is great and the hours work well for our schedules. We walk most days including Saturdays.
Had an incredible lunch with my girlfriend. We enjoyed the crab rangoon dip, corn and chicken chowder, cubano and spicy chicken sandwiches with fries and slaw. The food is all 10/10. The beer is among the best breweries we have had. Our server Stepha
We love coming here! The food is always awesome and so is the service! My husband's favorites are the cheeseburger, the Merna Combine or the WINGS!! I love trying the different lunch specials or the "burger of the week"...I also rotate with the wings
