Hyatt House Morristown - Hotel in Morristown - 194 Park Ave, USA

I recently had my wedding this past weekend, and had about 50 rooms booked through our block for guests. Unfortunately we had a horrible experience with Hyatt House, and I would not recommend booking them if you have a large block size (or at all for that matter). ||The time leading up to our stay had been good, we worked with Molly who coordinated rooms, was very responsive, and helped with transportation. Although working with Molly was wonderful—she was not there working during our stay. ||Upon arrival, the staff at the front desk watched us struggle to carry everything across the building as the main elevator wasn’t working. After we brought up all of our stuff, the manager apologized and offered to help us—but at that point we had already brought everything in. ||The rooms were clean, and well kept. But several rooms did not get hot water, which of course was a huge problem. The biggest problem is guests were arriving for a 3pm check-in time for my 6:30pm wedding and rooms were not ready. Guests did not get into their rooms until at least 5pm (two hours after check in time). ||What made matters worse, is my guests witnessed the front desk staff arguing around 3:30pm when one came in with an iced coffee (her shift was apparently at 3pm) and she said well I’m only a half hour late and proceeded to fight with eachother. ||Something small, which of course bugged me—is when I was holding my bridal dress waiting for the elevator bringing my wedding items to the room, a cleaning attendant goes I’m cutting you, jumps on the elevator and closes it. ||Although we got good rates for our rooms, they were clean, and Molly was easy to work with. Save yourself the headache and embarrassment and book somewhere else.

I booked a king suite for a girls' weekend getaway with my best friend. The suite was an apartment, with a full kitchen and living room. It was a spacious, modern, clean and comfortable room overlooking the pool. Loved everything about it! The free breakfast was impressive, offering real scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, potatoes, coffee, juices, cereals, fruit etc. etc. Much better than the typical garbage continental breakfasts that most hotels offer. The outdoor pool area was great and we enjoyed the day lounging by the pool.

We enjoyed our stay while visiting our son in Morristown. The full size refrigerator was especially appreciated as we usually bring a full stock of perishable grocery items for his apartment. Nice place to relax at the end of the day and beds were very comfortable.

We stayed here as a family for a week while visiting the area and the hotel suited us very well. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was a good size, and the facilities and breakfast were good. Kids loved the pool and helpful to have laundry etc. Good location to get around northern NJ and very close to train to get into NYC. The room was a little tired but was fine for us and the rest of the hotel made up for it.

We took a two-bedroom suite. It was really lovely, with two full bathrooms and a kitchen and living area. The reception staff was very helpful and let me check in early so I could change for the wedding we were attending.

Nice hotel. Comfortable room. Good kitchen. Overall okay. Only problem poor house keeping service. We stayed three nights. No towels change. No cleaning. Trash not removed despite personal request at desk.

Nice hotel. Comfortable rooms. Nice beds and pillows. Minor maintenance issues ( peeling caulk or soap scummed stained caulk at seams in shower doors) figuring out how to control the thermostat was fun. They have those motion sensor things I keep turning it off. Make sure the little fan is spinning lol. Getting in and out of the place is hard as you can only go one direction and then have to make a u-turn to come back half mile away. Other than that great location. Nice amenities, breakfast was good, great service.

Room wasn't clean, soap and shampoo dispensers were empty. We told them, but they didn't do anything about it. Breakfast was too basic. They use a lot of plastic plates and utensils. Don't seem to care at all for the environment.
