Hyatt House Belmont/Redwood Shores - Hotel in Belmont - 400 Concourse Pl, USA

I expect better of Hyatt, a chain I try to use because I am a World Of Hyatt member. The outside appearance, location and lobby/breakfast area are attractive. Everything looks modern. The staff was friendly. And our bed was good. But our room was worn, the carpet actually had a hole and was threadbare in places, the furniture needs updating and the bathroom needs new tile. No one came to clean the room, and when we asked after the fourth day, we were told guests must request housekeeping. No one told us this on arrival, and in fact the room had a magnetic sticker to put on the outside door if you DON’T want housekeeping. There was also a parking charge, which is ridiculous, considering this is essentially a suburban property.

If you require reliable wifi during your visit this is not the hotel for you. I travel extensively and this visit had the worst wifi experience I have ever had. For an entire weeks stay. I have probably stayed at this hotel at least 30 times in the past 20 years and this was the first time wifi was horrible.||||The layout and setup of the rooms are perfect for families. Appreciate the breakfast as part of the cost of the stay. The staff is friendly and do their best to accommodate the guests. However, there are not enough staff to do the necessary work such as to be able to do the housekeeping as scheduled. Front desk has only one person to check everyone in or out and answer the phones.||||We've stayed at this hotel for more than 20 years when coming to visit family. It was beautiful when Hyatt House took over and remodeled it. Unfortunately, in the last 5-10 years, the place has been deteriorating. Repairs in the rooms have just been patching up and done only when we had to ask for a fix. Doors don't open properly, there's a lack of dishes. Wi-fi is advertised as high-speed, which is false advertising. It's the slowest we've ever encountered.

I was looking for a place to stay in any Hyatt hotel! Then I found this one, in the great San Francisco area! Beautiful place and neighborhood! Close to everything! Specially to the airport! The room are so spacious and comfortable!

hotel stay is perfect for singles or couples or even small groups. Clean hotel although a little outdated. Amazing customer service! Great price for the area. It was also a very peaceful place with a beautiful river side view as well.

I stayed at this property one night for business. I have been considering moving more of my business travel to Hyatt properties but this stay is causing me to reconsider. While I wasn’t expecting a luxury experience at this location, at time I felt the property went out of its way to make things uncomfortable. Starting at a little after 7 am, a staff member entered my room. After letting them know I was there and in bed, they promptly left. Not long after, I received calls from the front desk asking for a person not associated with my room. Then there was a loud maintenance piece outside of my door that went on for about 15 minutes. All of this was prior to 8am!|After 8 am but before the standard checkout time(I did not request late checkout), housekeeping knocked on my door three times. The last time, which was still 45 minutes before checkout, they asked me when I was leaving. Towards the end, the experience felt almost intentional. There were other minor issues about the hotel I could provide feedback about, but the general experience will question my return to this property.

An EA for a client booked us here. It’s terrible, not well-maintained, no basic amenities like water bottles in your room and they charge over $300 a night. Location sucks esp in bad weather - you have to go outside to get to your room. You have to climb stairs w luggage to get to 2nd floor apts. No room service. ||||Not clean outside and inside.

My only complaint is that I had no cell reception in my room, and the hotel wifi was twitchy at best and kept dropping. (I try to avoid it most of the time). I am used to that in rural areas, but not in the bay area. One night would have been tolerable, but I was there for 8. Very nice staff and breakfast!

this motel is adequate, not great. breakfast ok but too crowded. housekeeping hit or miss. no elevator and no attention to the fact that an 83 year old was trying to take bags to room. i will go there again because of location
