Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans - Hotel in New Orleans - 800 Iberville St, USA

My wife and I were visiting New Orleans for the first time. The people and service was honestly so amazing. Rooms were fantastic as well. I wanted to write this review specifically for our bellman Eric. He went above and beyond and assisted us with not only answering our questions but giving us tips on where to go and different ideas on where to venture off to for adventure. We are from Canada and are used to hearing how "nice" Canadians are. Eric exemplified that to such a high extent its hard for us to match. Super kind and super helpful. That above and beyond service is so rare to see so thank you Eric for giving us such a pleasurable experience here. We will 100% visit and recommend this location and hotel to anyone.

Check in was so easy with friendly front desk staff. We were awarded with 2 complimentary beverages at their beautiful bar. The rooms were lovely with a real New Orleans vibe of dark greens, and burgundy. Our TV didn’t work, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. We will definitely be staying here again!

The staff was tremendous. They deserve a round of applause for, at times, going out of their way to provide all-around service and support during my stay. The room and bathroom was clean. Granted, it had the typical wear and tear in some spots, but overall, it was clean. The hallway carpeting needs help, though. Hotel is in a great location, too. Please note, I've stayed here multiple times over the past few years and for a good reason....this is a really good hotel.

The staff was cool, especially the gentleman who helped with our bags. The hotel itself was very clean, as well as the room. The pool area was very nice. When I go back to New Orleans, I will stay here every time. The food was good too. I had the deep-fried alligator stuffed deviled eggs and chicken & waffles.

The hotel is nice and the rooms were spacious. And the location is good. However for a country like America that relies upon tips - the service was very poor. One day we ordered takeout to the hotel and at the reception bar we asked for plates and cutlery, and were told ‘no’ by two different staff members simultaneously. I didn’t think that was an acceptable answer. And it took me another few minutes to convince the staff to get us paper plates and cutlery. For a hotel that offers room service I do not see what the issue was here. A few other similar incidents happened - we are a group of 3 young girls. I work in the travel industry and sell this hotel to customers every week. Upon visiting, I will be more hesitant with my recommendations. I know good service when I see it - and this hotel does not have it. Even upon checkout when I told the receptionist my issues with the stay - I said I understand nothing was his fault personally and was not rude in the slightest - he still looked like he couldn’t care less and tried to make excuses. I work talking to customers everyday - and yes the whole ‘the customer is always right’ thing can be annoying - but it is true. So teach your staff this please.

We stayed for 2 nights prior to going on a cruise. Beautiful hotel, the reception area was stunning, friendly, helpful staff. Large room with comfy bed. We were lucky that we had the pool to ourselves in the evenings. Pool area was fabulous with comfortable sunbeds. Concierge booked us on a very enjoyable swamp tour. He was knowledgeable and helped us make the best of our short stay.

Wow! I am impressed with the tremendous customer service. I have enjoyed the Hyatt chain of hotels for years, but this hotel makes you feel like family. I want to congratulate Ellie at the front desk. She is a super friendly and helpful person. This will definitely be my hotel of choice every time I visit New Orleans.

I absolutely love this hotel. When visiting NOlLA, this property is always our preferred hotel stay. The location is great but can be challenging to get to, especially when there are special events. Nevertheless, it is a quaint but can be lively. The restaurant food is tasty!. The hotel was recently remodeled and is now even more charming. The staff continues to deliver quality service always with a friendly smile. Easy access to the French Quarter and within walking distance to other places of interest. Cant go wrong with this property. We stayed at other hotels in NOLA including 5 star,high end; but the charm, comfort at this hotel keeps us coming back every time.
