We had a great family trip! The tent was very nice. The main restaurant area was very nice, nice beverage selection, fun kid's activities. For us the highlight was having a place to stay that felt very much in the woods but also having that pool for afternoons after hiking. At least in August was a lot of kids so not sure I would want that if traveling without kids but may be a different story when school is in session. I'd love to visit again in the fall.
Stayed at Huttopia for 3 nights in August and had a great time. Everything is just as it looks/says on their website. My wife and 2 young kids (6 year olds) stayed in one of the tents with a bathroom. Lots of privacy (most sites are pretty far apart), beautiful campground in the wilderness, and fun games and swimming for the kids at the lodge. The shower in the tent was excellent, the water pressure and hot water far exceeded my expectations! Will be staying here again, and likely the other Huttopia locations in the Northeast.
I have been to Huttopia in lake Lucerne, Adirondacks NY two times now with my family and our dog. If you are a camper who is looking for the same outdoor experience without having to lug all the camping equipment. Then this is the place for you. I have a family of five with a 113 pound dog we travel with. The facility is spotless. The cabin tents are well made and equipped with everything you will need for great experience. You will still need to bring some items of your own, but overall, you will not need to bring much. If you are an outdoor person who would like to spend quality time with your family/spouse, then this is the place for you.
Stayed here (Adirondacks) in August 2024 with family (myself, my wife, and our two 6 year olds). We had a great stay. The pictures and descriptions on the website are very accurate and depict exactly what you should expect. The campground was very peaceful and in a great location close to Lake George village. We stayed in one of the larger tents with a bathroom. The tent was well equipped with everything we needed for cooking, lounging around, and sleeping (which makes packing for the trip easy!). Beds were comfortable, shower was very pleasant as well (great water pressure, and hot water). Its on the expensive side for camping, but you do get amenities and comforts that you traditionally don't get while camping so in my opinion its worth it. We will definitely be back again for a trip, and will probably check out their locations in NH and Maine.
We had an amazing time here. Absolutely beautiful and the site is well thought out. For us, it was a very good mix between camping and glamping. Plenty of stuff to do whether you're on site or off site. I was very impressed and we cannot wait to come back and explore more of the area and do some activities at the lounge area. Thank you everyone that helped make our stay fun.
I have mixed feelings about this place. We spent $1000 during Memorial Day weekend. We understand it was the holiday, and we had a great time with family, but we are wondering if that was worth it if we think back about the facilities. The roughness of the wilderness was great, but some areas needed to be checked and taken care of before customers came to stay. The cleanliness was the main issue. The bathroom and the bedding were clean, but the bed frames and floor had noticeable dust. It felt like the place wasn't ready for the visitors. It was almost like it was only partially cleaned, like changing bed sheets and emptying trash cans and towels. There were multiple noticeable holes on the floor. The place could have shown more effort. Other amenities, like the pool and cafes, looked great. I didn't get to try their cafe food, but they had different on-site activities to enjoy. It is a great place to stay and enjoy the wilderness if cleanliness isn't your priority.
Had an amazing experience spending weekend in the mountains with huttopia. Staff were so accommodating and nice that added to the whole experience. My kids loved outdoor heated pool and Restaurent area. We definitely are going to visit again.
I came with my 6yo daughter and we had a wonderful time at Huttopia! Our tent was well-appointed and completely suited our needs. The staff went above and beyond to help us get comfortable, including, I am embarrassed to say, helping shepherd a fairly large wolf spider out of our tent on the first night. Next time I'll probably request a site closer to the main building and parking lot since we were frequently leaving Huttopia to explore the beautiful Adirondacks and mini golf courses in Lake George!
Gene and Linda are fabulous hosts, Gene's potatoes at breakfast are delicious! The location is perfect, far enough away from the hubbub of Lake George but close enought to everything like Saratoga Springs! Excellent Inn with everything you need!! Enj
My husband, myself, and our dog, Luna spent 5 days at Elms Cottages this past week in early September 2023. We all had a great time, but I think Luna had the most incredible time of all! She was free to roam the lakeside area in front of our cabin, c
