Super welcoming, everyone is super respectful. Courses are really made for all levels. First day white belt or black belt, I'm sure you could enjoy quality techniques the whole classe! Going back for sure on my next visit in Palm Springs!
5/19- just dropped in again after 4 years. Still amazing.
I flew in from Seattle to get some sun and I did a drop in at this academy this evening. One of the best jiujitsu experiences I’ve had traveling out of state. The moment I walked in I knew this was the place I wanted to train at while in town. The facility was in great condition. After speaking with Joshua, the instructor, afterward and finding out he did all the work with his own hands i had even more respect for the place.
I arrived a bit early before the adult class and watched him coach the kids. It was a large kids class and he taught with great attention and playfulness for the youth, a true example of how it should be done.
The adult class started and he walked us through a very good warm up and we went right into the technique. From the way he taught, I knew he had lots of experience and paid close attention to detail. It was smooth and practical for all levels of jiujitsu.
I even had the pleasure to chat with Joshua for a while after class. I cannot recommended this academy more for anyone in the area or dropping by.
Master Josh is very discipline and good with working with children and adults of all ages. Takes his time when training and executing. Great place to learn Brazilian Jiu-jitsu the proper way. Recommend it for everyone of all ages.
Professor Josh is amazingly patient, firm, and just does an amazing job with the students. He is very experienced and explains very well to the students the reasoning behind each move. My son enjoys and looks forward to his class every time.

My kid started classes about three months ago. Professor Josh is very positive and patient. This class has a good mix of genders and age levels. My kid loves going to class. Im glad we found this place.
Both my daughters and I have been taking classes here for a few months and I can't speak highly enough of it. Josh is an incredible teacher, as are the assistant teachers Anthony and The General. The atmosphere is exactly what it should be - there's nobody here who wants to show you how tough they are (despite some of them being very, very skilled), everyone is very friendly, and they have been very helpful to me as a beginner. My kids also love the classes, and are doing better at home and school than they were before starting class.
As if that weren't enough, there is also a world class striking class taught by THE Kathy Long. Amazing stuff.
Visited Hurricane BJJ while visiting from Seattle. Both professors could not have been more welcoming. They ran a great practice with excellent technique and drills. They loaned me a gi and were super helpful all the way around. Rolled with Professor Josh Dubinsky and the man has some of the smoothest BJJ I've ever seen. Thank you all and will definitely come back when in town!
This is a fantastic, and welcoming Bjj gym. Josh is an amazing, kind, and patient instructor who is just as fantastic with advanced adults as he is with beginning children. I simply can’t say enough good things about my experiences here.

Outstanding hospitality, style and location. The hotel has original 1950s rooms, bar and pool all at the foot of a mountain surrounded by palm trees - it sets the perfect tone for a mid century themed getaway.
