Hummingbird Lounge - Restaurant in New Buffalo - 9 S Barton St, USA

First time here and loved it! The cocktails were great. Between my husband and I, we had a Negroni and an espresso martini - both excellent! Ordered the roast chicken and short ribs - both beautifully seasoned, flavors were great! Cozy low lit vibe and was fun to sit at the bar post dinner. Service was very friendly and we received great suggestions. Would absolutely come back!

The main lounge wasn't open when we arrived so we went to the Rollaway (which is a play off the owners roots). Really happy with the drinks and service we had!!

Beautiful establishment with amazing food, drinks, and service. We recently hosted our rehearsal dinner at Hummingbird Lounge in the Rollaway Bar and the night was unforgettable - and the staff and food made it that much more memorable. The set-up done by Hummingbird Lounge for our family and friends was perfectly executed and the staff was extremely courteous and thoughtful the whole evening. We went with the taco bar and seasonal treats and each item was cooked perfectly and delicious. Wonderful drink selection with fun N/A options and a warm atmosphere. We can't wait to come back!

Everything was fantastic! Service and staff are very friendly and helpful, drinks are delicious (with some unique non-alcoholic options - the middle photo below was a non-alcoholic drink) and the food was great. The inside had an upscale feel without being stuffy - people were dressed in all variety of attire and no one looked out of place. They have a fun outside walk-up bar too. Highly recommend stopping by!

Amazing cocktails, great service, and staff! I've been meaning to write a review on this place so here we go! When I was living in New Buffalo, I would frequent this cute little joint often. I got to slowly watch it evolve while I was at home. The menu was constantly improving. My favorite item on the menu was Fish and Chips they had the perfect crispiness with a house-made tartar sauce and the fries here are to die for. There are many other great options, but the Fish and Chips cross my mind time-to-time. The cocktail menu here is definitely one of the leading menus in the area. My favorites were the MI Cherry Old Fashion and a Rum Old Fashion they perfectly balanced on the sweetness and the booziness :)) The staff was always super friendly, and all of them are extremely talented. The owner was always super friendly with our group and made sure we were always taken care of. I can't wait to see where The Hummingbird lounge will go in the next few years. Hummingbird Lounge is a welcoming place featuring a wide range of fine cocktails and dining. We stopped in to start our weekend with a few libations and apps. We found their Michigan Cherry Bourbon Manhattan was on the top of our list. Smokey, tasty and amazing to drink. Blackberry Hard Cider was our second refreshment choice. Recommend the shrimp cocktail and skip the "corn dip". Expected a better elotes instead of watery canned corn mixed with parmesan and dry herbs. My suggestion would be to pan roast the corn, reduce the liquid and add a crumbled cheese with fresh cilantro. Otherwise their Airline Chicken looked the part. Service and the staff are ultra friendly, gratious and welcoming. Glad to say this is only the beginning of our visits to Hummingbird Lounge.

Warm, cozy atmosphere with attentive waitstaff and delicious food and cocktails. We loved the seared tuna appetizer and recommend the grilled salmon and the mushroom risotto. Already plotting our next visit!

A nice place for a drink and light meal. Potent drinks, reservations definitely needed for Friday & Saturday evenings. Food was fresh, just wanted a bit more flavor on the chicken tacos other than the slaw (more siracha mayo or hot honey).
