HuHot Mongolian Grill - Mongolian barbecue restaurant in West Allis - 3021 S 108th St, USA

This restaurant is amazing. The food options are great, and the experience is incredibly unique. When you arrive, you are seated at a table where you order your drinks before going to start making your meal. Then you go to build your dinner bowl. There is a large variety of meats, vegetables, and pastas to build your bowl. Next you put your sauces on. There is a sign that gives you different flavors and how to get those flavors from the sauces available. Once you have all that complete, you take it to the cooking wall where the cooks will put your bowl on a giant frying wheel and cook your dinner. It is rather enjoyable to watch. When it’s cooked, the cooks will hand your meal to you on a clean plate. To add to your delight (if you are such a person to enjoy this) there are additional seeds and other toppings you are welcome to put on your meal. The building is decorated nicely, and the ambience is nice, no loud music. Business definitely picked up as the evening wore on, but it was never very crowded. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Hu hot used to be best place to go for great food! My 10 year old has loved this place since it opened. But last couple visits our food has been so burned! 1st time we spoke up because we had to keep going up to get new food. This time we didn’t and was just disappointed paying $50 for 3 burned meals. My first plate had crunchy noodles. So I went back up and 2nd time wasn’t as bad but the potatoes were not cooked. This time they were out of some meats, out of broccoli, and I had to ask to refill the sauces. Like I said we used to love this place but everytime we go now we are disappointed with burned or dry food (we use lots of sauce) my son said “maybe we shouldn’t come here for awhile” and this is his absolute favorite place. I’m not sure if it’s the management or what…please don’t burn food anymore and keep up on refilling buffet items in future.

I have been here several times. Tonight, there was a small issue, but I notified my server and they were more than accommodating. They are such pleasant people working here and it really makes a nice environment to enjoy a meal in. I take one star off of the food rating because I really need help mixing the flavors of the sauces and I find that the guides they have posted aren't very accurate. My food is still coming out a little bit on the dry side. But I enjoy this place enough where I will be back several times and I will have more opportunities to find the perfect recipe! The wait staff was good. The lady on the grill (manager I think) had nothing on her hair, no hairnet, no hat. She had no apron on so there was food hanging off the front of her shirt. She also left for a bit and when she came back she didn't wash her hands. She did not wipe the spatulas in between different people's food like she should have done. She had no clue what she was doing which made the line very long. It took 30 minutes to get food. The food was very over cooked. They were out of a lot, mushrooms, cabbage, tofu, mushrooms, and more. The counters were disgusting, food and sauces were everywhere.

Stopped in for birthday lunch! And boy was the service fantastic!! We had Lori and she just made my day even more special with her bubbly smile. It was a pleasure and we’re definitely coming back!

We were seated right away when we arrived. We had a party of 4. One of our party is gluten-free. She received her special bowl. We all went up to the buffet to fill our bowls. Almost everything was empty. I ended up with a couple pieces of crab, an egg, a little bit of vegetables and nothing else. The sauce pans were empty as well. When I got to the grill I had to tell the cook that everything was empty in the buffet. And part of my family were still waiting for food because of being gluten-free. We ate what we were able to get and went up a 2nd time and still the same scenario. No food. Very very poor selection. We went home hungry.

Dined at this restaurant on New Year's Day.Great food but they were definitely short staffed.The manager that was working that night was a gal And I didn't get her name probably was Late 40's maybe 50 she definitely deserves five stars and a big Raise. I don't recall the last time I seen a restaurant worker hustling that much to get things done. If she wasn't there that night place would have been in big trouble she was doing the job of 3 people all with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. don't see many workers like her these days. She definitely one-of-a-kind and this restaurant is so lucky to have such a incredible employee. 5 stars to the gal Manager that was working that evening Jan 1st.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

1st time coming here & had a wonderful experience! Lori the GM is an absolute GEM! Absolute superb customer service, so sweet & went above & beyond to ensure my wife had a great Birthday Lunch! Great establishment!
