This is really a great park with intercoastal and beach access. There are kayack rentals, great walking paths, fishing, a super dog friendly bar, and grill outside. It offers lots of amenities for the bargain price of $6. Also has a water taxi stop.
Came here on a rainy day during the off season but it was well worth the $6 entry fee. On a dryer day I would have explored the hiking trails more. But still managed to get a good look at everything and take a few short walks. Also plenty of park areas with picnic tables, grills and more
There is also an historic building that is now a visitor center, and a garden center and garden walk. The garden center was closed but you might enjoy these slightly liminal photos of an empty place that is normally very lively.
Peaceful place to bring the pup and clear your head. So many park and walk across to the beach, hit up a nature trail, rent a bike or a kayak. This place feels like "old Florida" and I hope it never transforms to corporate Florida.
Mike and I had a wonderful experience at this state park. Karen especially made our experience as she was kind and very considerate with her time. She gave us information on foliage and different trees and the nature of the lands. She pointed out places of interest and wild life spotting of birds, bee's and tree's. We found the staff wonderful and the grounds the same. Bike, walk, Rollerblade or drive through the park at your leisure with a small entry fee of less than $10. Thank you so much!
Such a beautiful park! There’s tons of trails and activities. Everywhere you look there’s something to see. If you skip the beach you can bring your dog to explore with you! Admission is $6 if you’re driving. Definitely recommend! Can’t wait to go back and see more.
Wonderful FL State Park. The loop is full of bikers, roller blades, scooters, joggers, etc. A family environment. Lots of Hiking trails and views of boats traveling in the intercoastal. Trails can get flood if there is a lot of rain days before.
We absolutely love visiting Hugh Taylor Birch State Park during the weekends. The beautiful beaches and numerous outdoor activities make it the perfect place to unwind. The scenic walking trails are a must for nature lovers. It's always a great, peaceful getaway from the city. Highly recommend this State Park to be part of your itinerary next time you are in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Beautiful park and very clean! We had such a great time exploring the trails and enjoying being in nature. My only critique is the magnitude of mosquitoes… make sure you wear bug spray if you go on the trails because we got eaten alive but other than that 10/10 recommend!!!

Absolutely one of our favorite spots in all of the Fort Lauderdale food scene. Great knowledge and selection of natural wines, next level food with a constant rotating menu. This was one of the best Caesar salads Iâve ever had in my life, the Cacio
After searching for restaurants offering Poke Bowls, we landed here by coincidence. That was however the best thing that could have happened to us because the bowls were absolutely delicious and soo fresh! The couple was super friendly and the man wa
