Loved this pub, went on a Friday night and there was live music with Christmas decorations, so very jolly.Enjoyed the alagash white beer. The appetizers were very well made and delicious. Got the fries with curry and I’d just like to thank whoever put that on the menu! Highly recommend this place for a hangout with friends!

I ordered the Hugh's burger, I asked for it to be well-done but it was burnt and bitter so I was pretty disappointed. My sister got the BBQ salmon with rice, which she said was pretty good. Waited about 30 minutes for food, seemed a bit understaffed but good service, music is loud, if I return I would get something else on the menu.

For me the big draw of this place is the outdoor patio - street scene relatively quiet but interesting, nice sunlight in hours before sunset. Not sure how far into Fall-Winter the outdoor patio will be open. Haven't visited after dark yet. Great beer selection on draft, other standard liquor offerings looked solid too. Forgot to check the wines. Service was earnest and friendly though slow due to understaffing at our visit; I still give this a pass as staffing is so hard. Ordered only a little food so not sure how the more interesting options like Guinness Stew might be. Pretzels were good; cheese dipping sauce middle-of-road. Mashed potatoes are an option with entrees, wow that's nice. Early Saturday evening they had two older Irish crooners, singing with great gusto near back of bar/dining area, guitar and mandolin. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations - better than most of the lackluster Irish pubs in the greater Boston area. I would gladly go back, preferably with a (omnivore) friend or two to have some beers and share some of the larger appetizers and food options. And I would do it on a nice evening or afternoon to take in the patio while that's still an option.

Very loud atmosphere due to games (we were right under a speaker and couldn't talk amongst ourselves due to the need to yell to be heard). The server was okay. Not sure he really paid attention to what we needed. My daughter asked for a Caesar salad with only the lettuce, no dressing or croutons or cheese due to a dietary restriction, and it came out with dressing on it, so we had to send it back. The portions for the calamari (drenched in a sauce) and bang bang cauliflower (mostly arugula salad) were less than adequate for the price, although the flavor was good. The "side" of sweet potato fries was HUGE, and flavorful. The service was quick.

Ordered my food and a beer had enough time to drink half of a Guinness before somebody else came in ordered food and was served within 5 minutes. The bartender did catch it but when I did get my ordered food a chowder you could taste the flower from the base, it was like it was on purpose. Supposed to be karaoke night that started at 9:00 and they didn't look very interested in that to me won't be going back.

A rustic local Irish pub in Malden with authentic oldish interior design. Was built in 2002, and celebrates this year 20 year anniversary. The food is good, the drinks too.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Great variety of beers and whiskey for those who prefer something stronger. The Shepherd’s Pie was hearty and very filling. My friend could not stop raving about the quality of the burger. Parking is available on the street, and there is also a large parking garage nearby.

Overall not bad but the atmosphere is far away from the Irish Pub, especially the music. I mean the jukebox, when it's playing it is so loud that you feel like you're in a nightclub. Please, remove the jukebox.
