So, recently.....someone put a massive fence through 60%+ of the green space that once made this park super nice. Super super sad to see. I'm sure the city spent $10k plus on the fence as well....SMH....when are we getting a drinking fountain for the basketball court or the tennis court.....can't believe they spent the money on a fence. Crazy😮💨🤢
Great park for younger kids! The addition of bathrooms last summer made it even better!
I am obviously biased as this park is in my backyard, but the new park shelter and playground are amazing. It is such a joy to have this in our neighborhood. We also helped get the Community Garden going this year, which was an incredible addition to an already amazing park.
The movie theater is in the middle of a change of ownership. The map displays one name and signage the old name. I understand it will take a while for the update but it makes it a little confusing when trying to locate it.
The food selection was little to none and extremely expensive. I got a meal deal out 9f the 2 that they offered and it cost almost $30.00 for a large popcorn, 2 large drinks and a package of Twizzlers. The menu had not been updated, so you had to ask what was available. They should train their staff to me informative abd proactive so that customers don't need to determine the menu selection, they are informed about it.
The interior was beautiful, they have added a bar to the mix. The theater seating and restrooms were very clean, comfortable and maintained.
I can't say that I would recommend going to this theater. For the price of popcorn you can go to Point or The Palace and spend a lot less, get a lot more.
Brand new shelter and softball field plus playground and other resources, this park has it all. In the winter there's a skating pond and a sled hill. New for 2021, a community garden.
