Fun breakfast place to eat! The peach tea is amazing!! It was quiet but fun! The food was great too, atmosphere is great and it feels like a bayou haha! Stuffed French toast and the waffles were good! Dense but soft! And the peaches have the glaze that is great! That server was pretty nice too, in my experience, it was a slow relaxing Tuesday where the rush was already done for and the last few hungry customers arrived! I will go again and have been going since I discovered it last year.
Such a cute little restaurant very cozy and welcoming and lots of food options. I went for a healthy meal and ordered the create your own omelette. Highly recommend this restaurant.
I was immediately greeted and sat in a booth. The server was friendly and attentive. I tackled the breakfast chicken fried steak with medium eggs, hashbrowns, and the biscuit. Even though it was a lot of food, I cleaned all the plates. It was delicious and I will absolutely return!
Food is good, but the service is super rushed. They even put a table sign with the time they want you to eat. Very unprofessional, and makes you uncomfortable.
I thought this place was pretty good 👍We came in after church today for lunch and we all ended up ordering breakfast lol we started off with fried green tomatoes which I've never had before and wanted to try and they were great! I had the chicken and waffles and my wife had some sort of skillet and my son had bacon and eggs. We were able to walk right in and get seated and our server was great as well. If your in the neighborhood come on by and have a bight.
Overall great experience. Food makes me want to return and try more of their menu. Overall great service.
The service is five star here. Our waitress was great. Some of the food wasn’t the best. So I’ll start with the faves. The drinks! The strawberry lemonade was so yummy. My sister and fiancé loved their Carmel iced latte and my brother in law and his dad enjoyed their Bloody Mary’s even though he was missing bacon on his. My moms eggs Benedict came out and she wasn’t feeling the balsamic glaze drizzled on top. They were kind enough to change it out for her. The biscuits and gravy were not hot in temperature and honestly lacked flavor. My brother in law enjoyed his country fried steak. My sister enjoyed her skillet. And my fiancé was ok with his food. I wouldn’t rush back here for breakfast maybe next time we’ll try for lunch!
Tried the Huckleberry's on Champlain. I decided to try lunch versus the normal breakfast. I ordered the Louisiana Catfish. There are 2 options available, Bayou or Creole style. I ordered creole style which comes with tomatoes and mushrooms over the fish. Wasn't quite sure how the fish was prepared. Almost tasted a little crunchy but nothing that really indicated it was fried other than the crunch. It was over a bed of jambalaya and came with a side of tartar sauce. Can't say that either had much flavor. I ordered with a side of French fries and it came with garlic bread/Texas Toast that seemed to be cooked on a grill so came with a few extra grill remnants. The French fries had seasoning but very lightly cooked. They provided ketchup which helped. The Cajun style is geared more towards bland taste buds versus those ready for a true cajun/creole experience. For the idea of trying Cajun food then I'd say there are other options out there but for those that don't look for a lot of flavor but say you had it, go for it. Nothing bad to say about Huckleberry's I'll just continue to try different menu items until I find the wow factor everyone else has found.
It's been a long time since I've honestly had an amazingly delicious sandwich 𥪠One of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time since I went to fresno City College. We ordered chicken pot pie, double cheese burger, tri tip sandwich, and turkey
I love Irene's! The staff is always friendly and attentive, even when super busy. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual, it's a great place to dine alone or with friends. The patio is perfect for people watching while enjoying the best Mimosas in
Great classic American style waffle/breakfast/brunch spot in a busy area. The Hangover skillet has savory complex flavors throughout with a healthy but not ridiculous portion size. The Cheese Toast that comes with it (pictured) is a CULINARY NATIONAL
We went to try again as I haven't been in awhile. We had the 2 for $49 deal. My girlfriend had vegetable soup, pot roast dinner and a slice of coconut pie. I had a green salad, the beef & chicken skillet and a slice of key lime pie. It was very good
