It's pretty, but it was a little difficult to see the complete view because of the trees. Honestly, if the trees were smaller, I'd recommend trying to relocate them, but if you've been driving and just need to stretch your legs, it's a good place to do it for a couple minutes.
Nice look out but could stand some cleaning and brush control.
A nice quick stop to stretch and a water/lake view, also they have cute keys people left— so make sure to bring one on your next stop.
Beautiful scenic overlook right off the highway; Hoxie is a great place to visit and look out on the tidal river in Mystic. While there is no picnic seating for a nice place to eat, the fenced view still provides a great place to take pictures.
It's become a habit to stop here on my way home - especially on long trips. There are no facilities - just a lovely view.
Beautiful overlook right off the side of I-95 headed north on our road trip! Easy to pull over and easy to merge back on! Great stop for sandwiches and a beautiful as you eat!
This scenic overlook is unique for the history behind the lake and I think the locks on the fence make it just that much more special!
The only reason you should be stopping is to take pictures. Unfortunately, because of the nature of stops it also means people have to pee. The entire spot REAKS of piss and its all right behind someone's property. Don't pwg me a naysayer of Mystic area as my wife and I want to live there someday. But the fact the local Chamber of Commerce ignores this little spot with all the money they've been pumping into the area. However, I understand if you put a portapotty there you could potentially cause accidents or keep travelers from going into rest areas. Truthfully this spot should be closed in this ones opinion but it's because I don't see another option.
We had shrimp fried rice and cauliflower tikla marsala. Really good. The chef cooks to order so the food is fresh, the carrots still with a little crunch, the vegetables all still tasty, the rice cooked perfectly, nothing soggy from being reheated.
We had an AMAZING experience! I booked online and had some questions so called ahead. The staff were very helpful and didnât seem bothered by my calling. When we did the run through and even throughout the course all of the staff were helpful to my
Our 1st stay was in the Valiant Room-so cute, dockside & paired to look like the inside of a ship- we loved it. Last week, We stayed in the Kathleen Suite & it was spacious with all the extras . It was 1st floor , which we prefer with a comply bed( b
Great place to visit and shop around at various stores. Sticky Situation, the glass jewelry place, extra virgin olive oil, and Munson's chocolate are all great places. The area around Christmas time takes new life and is a joy to experience. They had
Breakfast here was an absolute treat. I opted for the crab and asparagus eggs benedict, which were fantastic, however the real star of the show were the pancakes. They were some of the most delicious and fluffy pancakes I've ever had. Make sure to tr
