I had the most amazing time at this hostel. This place is spacious and clean and has the most friendly staff and guests. I thought my age 55 would be a problem but not at all. There were a few others like myself and I felt very comfortable all the time not to mention free pancakes on a daily basis. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
(Only thing I would recommend is for individual fans in the bunks)

The staff were absolutely amazing and very welcoming. I had 0 issues while staying here and felt 100% safe the entire time.
The building is newly renovated and clean. Guests are given individual codes to get into the building, as well as their dorms.
Free pancakes every morning - shout out to Amelie who makes the best pancakes.
I was originally planning on staying 2 days and extended for a week.
I had so much fun staying at the hostel. The stuffs are so kind and friendly. They do free tours and other events! The location is also perfect. Very convenient and close from restaurants, bus terminal, and farmer’s market. I had the best time there!
I loved this hostel! The staff was really friendly and the rooms and common areas were super clean! I was travelling by myself and couldn't wish for a better place to stay. The free tours and activities were also super cool. I loved to free pancakes in the morning.
Had an amazing stay at this hostel. It was my first experience staying at a hostel and I could not have had a better experience. I was originally booked for just one night but I ended up staying another night because I was having too much fun! I went on the caves and coconuts tour with Eshaun, a karaoke night out, and a waterfall tour with Sophi (which was my favorite). I met so many amazing people and had the best time ever!! Highly recommend!
Best hostel I've ever been in, it's very clean and it's the first time I've found a curtain in the bed that guarantees me privacy. furthermore the staff is very helpful and kind, every morning there are free pancakes for everyone and several times a week there are organized tours to visit the nicest places. highly recommended!
This is an excellent hostel. The staff was very friendly and did a good job taking care of my needs. The space was clean and well thought. I loved that the beds had a curtain to add a little bit of privacy in the rooms. The sleeping space was comfortable. The restroom had plenty of room with smaller rooms inside for using the restroom or showering. While there wasn't AC in the rooms, it was fairly comfortable the whole time. The breakfast pancakes were light, fluffy, and very tasty.
There is a nice communal area with comfortable couches and some seats with counter space for working on stuff. The kitchen was spacious and well supplied with the needed amenities.
The only downside was that I did see a few cockroaches during my stay. I think that is because the downstairs gate to the outside is open air. Not ideal, but I understand the issue, and I'm aware there are just a lot of roaches in the area in general.
Overall, this was a very good hostel stay and I would not be hesitant to stay in this hostel again.
Stayed there last month had such a chill time, bed was super comfy and the free pancakes at breakfast was fabulous. You can tell the place just had a makeover and everything was brand new, fresh and very clean.
It's a really good location for Hilo with good bars and nice restaurants near by.
