If you're staying in the Rocky Hill area, the Howard Johnson hotel is an excellent choice. I've had the pleasure of staying here multiple times, and it has always been a great experience. The rooms are consistently clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. What really stands out, though, is the staff-everyone is incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going out of their way to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Whether you're in town for a quick visit or an extended stay, I highly recommend Howard Johnson in Rocky Hill. It's a great value and a reliable place to stay.

It was originally jarring coming here after only staying at the Newport RI Howard Johnson, but the management here truly does their best in taking care of the place. It's a smaller hotel but rooms recently renovated. The lobby itself is also tiny with a few tables to sit at. They have a simple continental breakfast included 6:30-9:30 which is choice of three cereals, milk, orange juice, instant oatmeal, Hostess coffee cakes, and tea/coffee. Rooms were clean. Peter the manager is very kind and thorough, works very hard to maintain the place. I even saw him working on the gardening outside. There was a soda vending machine on premises for $3 an item. Parking lot goes around the perimeter. It's not in a super crowded area but plenty of food nearby such as a Taco Bell, Indian restaurant, Rita's, and a liquor store. There's a Stop n Shop in quick driving distance. I was pleased with my stay.

My family and I spent the night here. The lobby was cute and it was speedy and pleasant check in. The doors to the rooms are all outside which I liked because I could park the car right in-front of our room. The room was SO nice. Hard wood laminate floor which I always prefer to carpet. It was so clean and I was very happy with the price for the room. Had a great sleep it was quiet and the beds are very nice and clean. Check out in the morning was so quick and easy. I would stay here again any time.

A great place right off of I-84, but does have a lot of traffic noise. It's halfway to my destination. The room is clean and has all that I need. It looks freshly painted and has new floors (no carpet), for a nice clean look. I would stay again.

Sometimes you book a hotel and it’s so bad that you need to review it so others don’t make the same mistake and stay at the hotel. Booked this one on a whim because I like the location and as soon as I went to check in, I instantly regretted it. The lobby was just dingy and disgusting, and even though the room was open, they wanted to charge me to check in a half hour early. The room left a lot to be desired. It had a musty smell and there was a depression in the mattress in the middle where it just kind of sagged. Then, Had my do not disturb up but at 10:30 in the morning, they came barging in my room before I could run out of the shower to stop them manager subsequently called to explain and blamed it on a water leak even though I was on a second floor room and there is nothing above it to leak, he said he just didn’t see my car in the lot. I asked if I could check out at noon since my other room was not ready yet and he told me he would give me 10 minutes to get out past 11 o’clock nornal checkout. Then had a conversation with the manager, asking him if he really wanted to continue lying to me about them, barging my room and not giving me the opportunity to check out a little later paid extra to check in early and he did not want to do any of that so I asked him, if he was running the kind of hotel that he wanted people to feel good about or that they wanted to write scathing reviews and he said nothing. I would not recommend staying here. Update—- the owner responded and thanked me for my negative feedback. Nothing about how peter the manager mistreated me as a guest. Thanking a customer for negative feedback without any compensation is the worst a hotel can do. Do not ever start here under any circumstances ever. This hotel doesn’t care about their customers AT ALL Do not stay here unless you want a terrible room and bed that ownership doesn’t care about their guest comfort

I stayed here for a weekend trip and the place met all my needs. It was clean and spacious. There were no odd smells, no bed bugs, and no stains. I'm usually sensitive to bed sheets/cleaning products used in hotels and had no issues after my stay here. There are two different systems for heating and cooling to meet your temperature requirements. The location itself was quite central and very safe. There were many shops, food places, and gyms within a 5-minute drive. The individuals at the front desk were friendly and welcoming. The check in/out process was smooth. Overall, I'd stay here again!

Newly renovated rooms, accessible location, lot of parking space. Spacious rooms. I wish there was a lift but one floor up won’t hurt. Quiet and peaceful ambiance

Had to be in Hartford recently for an appointment with a state agency and this establishment was perfect for such a purpose. The room was impeccably clean. There are plenty of places to eat in the area. And last but not least, the price for the room was very reasonable.
