Howard Johnson by Wyndham Dothan - Hotel in Dothan - 2244 Ross Clark Cir, USA

This place is awful. No hot water morning or night. TV didn't work. No batteries in remote. TV still didn't work with batteries. No door lock. Chair was broken. Yuck yuck yuck the pool was nice though. If I could post this with no stars I would. Basically if you need a roof and have an alarm on your stuff stay there.

Basically had to rig everything myself in order for anything in the room to work, including shower head. Service was typical as most places but kinda bad when it comes to you needing someone to come to your room to fix whatever issue you have. Lengthy and problems never got solved. The 2 main front desk guys was great. Other than the numerous broken things I had to deal with myself it's decent. I'd still say I'd much rather a stay at Adam's Inn. But I appreciate the kindness from the front desk.

This was a cheap room and it reflected the price. My first room had no lock between my room and the adjoining room allowing those guest easy access to my room. The second room was barely clean with one bed not having been changed. There was no blanket, not that I would have used it as I doubt it would have been clean. No pillow protection cases on any pillows, the mattress pad on inside out making me believe it had been flipped instead of changed. The room smelled of urine.

Room smelled terrible, don't take your luggage in with you unless you want it to stink. Super surprised there was no evidence of bedbugs but we did see a cockroach. Bathtub didn't drain properly and there were holes in the walls, some patched and unpainted, some just open. Ok channels on the TV though. I have a hard time believing this is a Wyndham property with how absolutely terrible of quality it was.

We didn’t even spend a night we spent a few hours cause we saw a roach on the BED in the BATHROOM and the shower floor is DISGUSTING They won’t give us a full refund back but offered to transfer us to a “Supreme” room or they said something like that and the room smelled like cigs too .

This was a cheap room, $64. Because it was cheap, my standards were low. However, this motel should be condemned. The first room had an adjoining door to another room that had no lock. This allowed the other "guests" to freely enter. The 2nd room was barely clean and smelled like urine. Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name attached. Lesson learned, I will spend more to have a decent and clean stay.

Rooms are old and the metal platform for the bed was king size with a full size mattress on it. To add to the weird vibe, everytime you roll over it, it bangs! Sounds like hitting an empty metal barrell with a stick. Sitting down on the toilet, it made a sound like it wasn't even anchored to the floor. It smells horribly musty and other patrons didn't seem to care how loud they are, oddly almost as if they live there...working on cars in the parking lot, ect. Avoid this place like the plague.

Hotel isn’t what is pictured above. Upon check in we found slices of bread in the drawer, dried globs of putty in the tub, mold in refrigerator with seal molded too and falling apart, fixtures laying on sink with part of it still attached to wall, AC grid coming off and dangling , only two towel sets for room booked for four, smoking room when booked non-smoking, green pool and piles and piles of clothing and household goods thrown over the balcony onto the property’s ground. Unbelievable and Disgusting! ||When asked the front desk, “Would you stay here?” He replied, “I can’t answer that because I’m on camera and I don’t want to lose my job.” The other front desk man said, “our manager posts pictures from other HJ hotels on the site. The pictures you saw are not this location. Additionally, there is no breakfast area or breakfast as stated on website.” ||Will NEVER stay at a Wyndham hotel again and will make sure I share this experience with everyone.
