Amazing food, great staff and a true community keystone Aki and the staff serve a consistently fresh sushi offering, Japanese traditional fares and incredible specialties. We always enjoy the warm greeting, great food and a relaxed atmosphere. Just wish the could re-model and freshen up the decor. Despite that, we always have great time

One of the best sushi spots in CT. The staff are super friendly and attentive. Great appetizers, entrees, and cocktails. Aki makes a great ramen for those cold days. His menu always has something new to try. I highly recommend Kaiseki Menu, but make sure you call to make a reservation, it’s a masterpiece that melts in your mouth.

This place is incredible! Such flavorful, delicious and filling dishes. The service is amazing as well. The waitstaff are all so kind and great at what they do. A+ in all categories :)

Always a delight to eat here, with the varied choices, between traditional Japanese foods, sushi, fried bits and often some specials that you might not expect. One of the big winners for me was the poké bowl. Real Hawaiian style, not that bloated stuff you're finding at chains that has kale and pita in it!

Having lived in Japan for the past 7 years, finding good and authentic Japanese food here has been a mission. Most places I take a look at the menu and that’s enough for me, it doesn’t resemble Japanese food at all. Until I drove past this place. The name was a give away as it didn’t have a generic tacky Japanese name, and further research taught me that this place was Japanese owned. First thing I noticed upon entering was that there were Japanese people eating here, a good sign for me. The waiter Shun-San is a Tokyo native and it was a good chance to speak some Japanese. The menu was decent and the sushi not too bad. The tempura was fantastic. I’d say it’s adapted somewhat for the local palette but if I want Japanese food, this is where I will go to get my fix, and it’s the only place you should go too if you want close to authentic Japanese food. I didn’t try the ramen dishes which I will next time, and they have sake too.

Great spot for Japanese! The specials change weekly and are always unique and delicious. One of our favorite dishes is the roasted miso zucchini starter. The sushi fish is very fresh.

Great Shusi, and drinks. Lots of specials. Best Sushi in the area. They need a new sign, so don't drive by it.

Fish is always fresh, no matter what day of the week we visit, which is why we drive a distance. We used to live a bit closer. Since we experienced the pandemic, we're a little gun shy about eating raw fish. The owner is Japanese as well.
