Whatever kind of "-vore" you are, you will not be disappointed...these are some of the best pastries I've ever had! I was fortunate to stumble upon this place while visiting from out of town. I had a lovely chat with one of the owners who talked me through their available items and how long they'd keep since I wanted to take some extra home 😁 The pastry dough is *chef's kiss*...just the perfect amount of flakiness and crunchiness... Nothing dry or boring about any of these desserts! I wish I lived closer and that there were more vegan bakeries like this!!
Gem! Don't be deterred if you think vegan means not good, I would put these croissants in my top three, against non-vegan options. Just lovely, tasty food. I did a pre-order box with a couple add ons, my favorite was the calabrian chile cream cheese croissant. We're so lucky to have this in our neighborhood. I will definitely be back soon to try the coffee and other goodies.
Top notch service, everyone was so friendly offering suggestions. We purchased an assortment of goodies to take back to phx with us. Look how good... I'm excited for the gummy worms!!!
This place is awesome! Pastries are fresh and delicious. We've been there multiple times, we usually try to get their boxes and add a few more items while we're there. Food is great, owners are cool. You have to call way ahead to get boxes as they sell out fast and there is usually a line to get in as the lobby itself is pretty small, but it is definitely worth the wait and we will be back for sure! Photo is a very small sample of the kind of stuff they have.
I wish I could give more stars!! Not only are the pastries absolutely amazing but the owners are the nicest people and they really care about their mission and their customers. Every interaction has proven how willing they are to go above and beyond. We ordered desserts from Houlden's for our wedding and they were such a hit! Guests were still complimenting them weeks later!
This place is AMAZING. Everything is so good. I’ve tried multiple offerings, and they were all great. Croissants are stunning. Even the oatmeal cream pie cookie was better than average. I will definitely be back!
There is love in these pastries! Ok so let's get to the good stuff....the gluten free.... EVERYTHING is fantastic. I seriously have yet to have anything that isn't original, fresh, and delicious. The savory tart had layers to the crust....laaaayers people. Do you know how hard that is to achieve with gluten free!? The gluten free box of goodies is so unique and spot on. I bought several non-GF items for my husband who loved them and asked how it's possible they are vegan. Delicious. Love. I will be a regular.
I just went here for the first time and got a croissant that came with homemade strawberry jam. It was so good. My grandmother used to make croissants when I was a kid and it was one of my favorite foods. I've spent many years trying to find a croissant that measured up, but finally just decided my memory was too rosy or I just didn't like them any more. Wrong. I love them, they just have to be as good as Houldens' or my grandmother's.
