Hotel Villa Convento - Hotel in New Orleans - 616 Ursulines Ave, USA

The rooms are the usual weirdness that you get in the French Quarter. Nothing is a showstopper, but if you’re expecting the Four Seasons, this is not it. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and powerful, the air conditioning kept up with New Orleans heat, and the Internet was fast. 100% staying here rather than a chain hotel in the future.

Villa Convento staff is amazingly nice an helpful. Always had fresh, hot coffee waiting each morning and even arranged a cab for me upon departure ! I made a reservation for the same time next year. Highly reccomend !!

Positive: We liked the location and price. The room was quaint and comfortable. AC was cold. Mini fridge was big enough to store our food leftovers. Negative: Wish we had a microwave in room but other than that everything else was great

Small & cozy hotel which was perfect for the occasion. Yes, there may be fancier & posher places, but the staff was great and location was spot on. And, who doesn’t like a hotel across from a patisserie?

Such a history filled hotel!! It’s why we chose to stay there. The hotel has stayed true to its roots, with sufficient modernization to satisfy a guest. Staff are very helpful and personable. The courtyard is a haven of serenity, just what you need after the busy streets of the French Quarter. And the hotel is close to so many must see and must eat at places.|We loved staying here, all 8 of our family members!!!

5 STARS ACROSS THE BOARD. The location is unbeatable - it is a quiet street that is so close to all the action. We were in town for a conference/anniversary and Warren and company could not have been better hosts. The room we had was perfect for us, the balcony brought in the sights and sounds of the French Quarter. Wifi was very reliable, we loved the mini split in the room when we needed A/C. We had all the amenities we needed. Hotel Villa Convento is top notch!

Loved the charm of this small old hotel. Balcony was great, beds comfortable, staff was friendly. My only suggestions please get 2 ply toilet paper and suggest more parking options. The lot across from hotel parking garage was a 15 minute walk and not easy to find. May have been the cheaper option. But at my age I will pay the extra for my vehicle to be three blocks. It's the French Quarter parking is not cheap we get that.

Despite multiple attempts to look around and see if there is somewhere we'd rather stay, my partner and I can't seem to find a better spot than Hotel Villa Convento. Every room in this historic guesthouse is cozy and the location is so hard to beat. We have stayed in about every size room by now and even the smallest ones comfortably accommodate a couple. Darron, Warren, and the rest of the wonderful staff have gone out of their way multiple times to make sure my stay was exactly what I needed. (NOTE: Be sure to book directly through them! They actually offer a discount for reserving through them directly and as such I've never found a better deal on third-party websites)
