Hotel Vicenza - Featured Reviews (116)
I stayed here memorial day weekend and the front desk man was so kind. The rooms were clean I didn't see any bugs or lice. Was a wonderful experience. I would definitely stay again. Very good service.
In looking online, the hotel looked very nice. Nice photos. When we got to the hotel, it looked like the photos on the outside (or facade), but the rooms were dated, dark, dingy and ugly. Also, the sheets were smelly -- kind of like the type of smell when you leave the sheets in the washing machine for days and forget to take them out to put them in the dryer -- that kind of a smell.||We stayed because of the rate per night and convenience to the area we wanted to stay. All the other hotel rates nearby were pretty high.||
The staff here is very friendly. The people staying here are mostly long term stay or living there. They keep to themselves and no one has bothered me or gave me a problem there. I do feel safe when I am there with my daughter. I know my car is safe out in the parking lot and is in view from my room. There are a lot of stray cats that live in the woods and you see them in the parking lot all of the time! Some of the residents feed them. I am not a cat person but none of the cats have bothered me during my stay which was over a month. The front desk staff are very nice and helpful as well as house keeping. It’s not a 5 star resort but it does have a homey feeling and a safe feeling, most importantly.
If I could rate this place a zero I absolutely would, they are expensive. Plumbing is messed up, roaches in all the rooms. Garbage all over the place, there is clothes drying everywhere you turn. And the owner is rude! He will yell, scream and belittle the people that live there. Do not recommend anyone stay here!
The rooms are clean but the bedspreads have holes in them. There are several cats on the premises that aren't going anywhere because the guests choose to feed them daily. There's ample parking although the lot needs repaving. It's very quiet throughout the day.
I hate giving anybody a bad rating... I got pictures, actual proof pictures. Some nasty woman left her dirty panties in my room and was one of the first things I saw when I walked in my room. Another thing, they do have a small roach problem I got pics of that and I wasn't going to say anything at all that the final straw is when the fire alarm goes off at random times. I mean I was sleeping good and had to get up at 5 and this damn thing goes off for no reason at about 3:30 in the morning. You got homeless squatters right behind the hotel which I wish nobody was homeless and I understand that people have to stay somewhere but I can't rightfully give this hotel a 5-star rating like I wish I could. I have to be honest. And also it's like the towels in the bathroom weren't really washed it was just like they were we folded and put back on the rack... now on the good side, the people were friendly drama and the room that I got was pretty good size. But another thing that can get on your nerves is that the receiver on the TV's cuts off after only a few hours and it's aggravating, especially if you need Just a Little Noise to cancel out the awkward silence. Can especially get on your nerves if you just need just a little bit of sound in the background to help you sleep.
I went to this hotel during the power outage (11/3/2012) due to Sandy. The hotel staff looked very suspicious. But because we had no power at home and wanted to avoid the dropping temperatures outside we decided to reserve the room. The hotel owner quickly realized our situation with little kids and took advantage and offered us the room for $90.00 per night. Further more we were asked to pay upfront and no receipt was given!!! After paying we decided to wait in the parking but a quick look around at the crowd staying there we realized what a huge mistake we were making. Even my kids looked unhappy and unwilling to go in after seeing what they saw around them. I immediately went in and cancelled my reservation and guess what?? The owner quickly grabbed the key and turned away from me. I asked could you please refund my money as I did not even step in the room and was trying to park he simply did not turn around and just shook his head. Can any of few let me know where I lodge a formal complaint so that this could be avoided for many others in furture.
This hotel despite its sometimes rough appearance is great. The owner is great the staff is great. No complaints.
