Enjoyed a fabulous Friday fish fry tonight! Started with the amazing cheese curds and onion haystacks and enjoyed the pan fried walleye and baked cornflake walleye. Enjoyed the homemade desserts by Dawn. Our cocktails were fabulous and both the bartender Dawn and server Zack gave us amazing service. We were lucky enough to enjoy some fun conversation with the owner after dinner as well. I highly recommend an evening at Hotel Stebbins, next time we may rent a room so we can stay longer. :)
What an incredible gem! Old world UK hotel and pub with amazing staff (Joanne, at the pub, specifically) and such a quaint stay in the heart of Algoma. From check in to check out this place rocks. We had just flown in from the UK and hoped for a "UK pub" experience and the Stebbins delivers on all fronts! Great room (comfy, warm and cozy), friendly pub, fun local crowd, and delicious food. Keep it a secret. What a great location too- just a blast and great time. |Thank you Stebbins. We'll be back to enjoy again. You're amazing!
We stayed for one night at Hotel Stebbins and were not disappointed! It is an older building but the room was clean, and beds were comfortable. Wendy the housekeeper checked us in and was wonderful and welcoming! The restaurant was not open as we stayed on a Sunday, but there are many good options all within walking distance. The price was very reasonable and we would return. Only thing I was uncomfortable with was the main building doors do not lock, so the building is open all night with no onsite employee on the property. |Algoma has many fun places to dine/drink and Hotel Stebbins is centrally located.
I stopped in for dinner and the food was good. The steaks and appetizers were full of flavor and well cooked. The steaks had a great garnish and sauce that made the flavors really pop. The venue however is outdated and eating on a pleather table cloth left a bit to be desired.
Love the charm of this landmark hotel! Staff was super friendly, rooms clean and spacious. Walking distance to everything we wanted to do in Algoma!
We always have a good meal at Hotel Stebbins & the drinks are excellent! 🍷🥩 The Perch Plate & Cowboy Steak are delish!
Old hotel with lots of character. Great bar and dining. Very laid back staff. Tia rocks as a bartender. Only complaint was the cod fish fry, really greasy. It tasted like something you would get out of a gocery stores freezer. Interesting menu. I would return

Wonderfull large 1/2 mile long beach in the center of town. Very wide as well with an easy slope to the water. Easy ample parking to access it. There is volleyball nets as well as picnic tables and a park nearby. Food, lodging, marina and campi
Excellent Bloody Marys here, even if you don't get one with the crazy amounts of add ons. It's a fun beach vibe. We'll definitely need to come here during the summer season.
Eggs over easy, steak, white gravy, wheat bread...good old-fashioned and appreciated comfort food in Algoma, WI. Easy walking distance of just about anywhere...beach, fishing piers, etc. Recommended!
